Summary
The fae grins again, and his heartbeat quickens: prey. He’s prey. “I see that someone taught you of our kind. You may call me Jaskier.”
“‘Jaskier,’” he repeats. Geralt’s mouth suddenly tastes of yellow. Like butter. Or springtime, and flowers.
A different version of Geralt and Jaskier meet; Geralt is still a witcher— it’s Jaskier who’s different.
Or my take on fae!Jaskier.

But a crumbling fortress full of Witchers and a mysterious -and immortal - contact from Vesemir’s past make things even more interesting.
Jaskier might have a thing for Geralt, but as he discovers, he also has a thing for Witchers in general.
(Y’all, it’s porn. I mean, the plot is so thin you could use it as tissue. I also hope you like vampires.)

So what he has to work twice as hard to conceal his identity? So what Geralt might kill him or run him off if he finds out that Jaskier isn't a mere human bard? Jaskier's never been happier. Which means it's only a matter of time before something comes along to screw that up for him. -

Summary
There's something about the bard that Geralt can't place. It isn't his boldness in waltzing right up to him, how he seems strangely unswayed by the Witcher's cold front, or even the way he glues himself to Geralt's side.
Jaskier makes his medallion sing and tug at its chain any time they touch.
Perhaps that plowing lute of his is enchanted. But Geralt has a funny feeling the poet is hiding something behind that warmhearted smile he finds himself so spellbound by. -

Summary
Jaskier should have probably seen it coming, yes, but he didn't. However that life doesn't matter, the mountain can go fuck itself, because Jaskier has moved on. Truly he has stop pulling that face. Living as a normal travelling bard suits him just fine, and he can absolutely stay out of the mess humans make of the world. Absolutely. Could he ensnare the public and live like a king? Yes, easily, but that's cheating and makes him no better than Valdo Marx but if there is one thing in this world that is true it is that he is leagues above Valdo fucking Marx.
Jaskier gets kicked out at the mountain and decides to go back to living as a travelling bard typically would. He's determined to stay out of the whole monster hunting mess, whether it's a human monster or a swamp monster, and spread his wings. Both literally and figuratively since he doesn't need to keep such a tight grip on his glamours anymore. However, being the apparent north pole on the universe's danger magnet, that plan doesn't last as long as he hoped.

Summary
Geralt hums, then opens the door. “Come here, I want to get a good look at you. I’ve never seen a real fairy before.” He says, backing up to let Jaskier out. “I’m not going to hurt you, I promise. We’ll treat you right, we just need you to make that dust for us.” He adds, sitting down in a plush chair behind the wooden desk.
The captain pats his knee and Jaskier has no idea why, but he complies and follows Geralt. He stands next to the desk hesitantly, his hands clasped behind his back. There’s no way he’s going to nuzzle up to the man who just bardnapped him.
“Oh c’mon, you can come closer than that. I won’t bite… unless you want me to.” Geralt says, winking at Jaskier before grabbing his slim bicep and pulling him closer. He sits the smaller man down on his lap and studies his face now that the gap between them is closed.

“We just say that I followed on your Path for twenty years, so you should follow on mine for another twenty. You’d of course have to do as I say, but it has the advantage, from my perspective, of letting me pamper the absolute shit out of you. I know you like throwing yourself into danger at every opportunity, but I think it would be a nice break for you! I’d keep you safe, I promise. No one and nothing would hurt you. I would treasure you. And it would only be temporary, so if you hate it you’ll know it won’t be forever.”

Summary
Geralt had a best friend, once. Julian had been the first person to choose Geralt - he’d been Geralt’s first friend, his first love, but Geralt had hurt him unforgivably.
Now, when Jaskier chatters at him, smiling at him without a hint of fear in his scent, Geralt tries not to think about how Jaskier reminds him too much of Julian. They have the same crooked smile, the same ringing laugh, and they both touch Geralt in the same way, gentle and caring.
But then comes the dragon hunt - and Geralt hates that he always does this. When people care about him, and when he cares about them in return, he inevitably pushes them away. Julian and Jaskier had both chosen him, but all Geralt ever does is hurt. When will he learn that destruction is all that he’s capable of?
Or: Geralt and Jaskier meet in a forest near Kaer Morhen when they’re children. They grow up together as best friends, then as lovers, but when Geralt leaves for the Path, it tears them apart.
Decades later, in a tavern in Posada, they find each other again.

“I want you to come to the keep with me,” Ciri whispered into the warm night air between them, whilst the late fall winds howled outside.
They were wrapped tightly around one another, her fingers lightly tugging on his curls, his lithe legs hooked around her hips, and her head resting on the widest part of his soft chest as it rose and fell.
“To Kaer Morhen?”
(In which, on her witchering travels around The Continent, Ciri finds her own version of Jaskier and brings him home for the winter).

Summary
The voice that slips out from between the thing’s lips is disturbingly human; as if Geralt were speaking to one of the villagers. “What are you doing in my forest?” it asks, lifting its chin and regarding Geralt with a cool gaze. One of the creature’s hands rests on the withering trunk of a tree. Geralt doesn’t miss at how the thing’s thumb smoothes against the bark. “Have you come to harm it?”
That...hmm.
He’s bargained with creatures in the past. Not all of them are as mindless and cruel as humans seem to think. Most can be lured to do something else, rather than meet the end of Geralt’s sword. Geralt’s jaw clenches. “No,” he replies.
--
A different first meeting where Geralt wanders into a nearby forest to investigate strange voices heard by the locals.

Summary
Three weeks ago he’d begun to feel the changing of the seasons. The slight nip in the air had turned into a lingering chill. It seeped into the bones. Frosted the tips of his hair and redden exposed cheeks not covered by his bedroll.
It was time to say goodbye to his Witcher and go home for the Winter.
Or: Sometimes, it's not the best idea to follow your instincts. It may just get you into a situation you didn't want to be in and will never get out of.
