Dream watched as the Enderdragon glittered and cracked with a deep purple light. With a thundering echo, the corpse shattered and dissolved into a mist of magic with a purity and density Dream had never seen before and will never see again.
The mist surrounded him, seeping into his skin and bones.
Dream Wastaken had freed the End. His reward was power beyond anyone’s wildest dreams. He wished he could also make his way to the Endless Island.
That wasn't an option, unfortunately. The hunters were hot on his heels. He couldn't let them destroy what little was left of his home.
