Usue and Benito grow closer years later; and Sartael returns to tie up loose ends.

"Things are as they are and they can't be changed. One's fate is written."
That's what Sartael told her.
It was the hope crushing ideology that seemed to be shared by many, but none more so than the people in her village.
After her brush with death and her close call with Hell, Usue has gained some unwanted attention from the residents of her village. The demon's fib of her being a saint was taken to heart and that led to a bit too much affection from her guardians.
To make matters worse, they took the demon's claim as the truth, and now have it in their head that Usue is destined to join the church and fully serve their Lord.
Someday, she'll go down in history as the Saint that literally went through Hell and back...
At least she will be, so long as she quits acting so indifferent and defiant against her 'destiny'.
Luckily, that should be an easy fix, right?
And hey, it's not like she's sneaking out in the middle of the night to practice low level magic in the woods and catch up on her demonology studies...right?
And the possibility of her running off in the middle of the night with a stranger? Well that's just crazy talk...

Usue watched the blood pour in a stream of black from the marauder's lips. His face twisted into a mask of death. Her breath caught, stunned and trembling, the blade's point slowly withdrawing from the chest. The dying man slipped to the floor.
"It is a part of who you are. It will guide you, always guard you, and - if wielded properly - it will never fail you."

Multiple scenes that may or may not be added to the Of Vices and Virtues fic will be here. Some may be included, changed or tossed. Warnings: contains fluff if you squint.

*Completely AU! This idea came to me in a fever dream*
It was Usue's first trip to Earth, and it was bound to be the most memorable experience for both humans and demons.
Also, Sartael's about to find out what he's missed during his eight year absence.

Alastor was the cruel Executioner of Hell. Lucifer's lead torturer. Everyone either feared, envied or respected him. He dealt out punishment swiftly and harshly. No mercy.
It was everything he could have wanted in a legacy. It was all he needed.
What he didn't need, was a child as a result of a careless one-night-stand. What he didn't want was for the child to be the exact opposite of him.
Sartael was the low-level son of a low-level demoness. He was soft by demon standards, and everyone laughed at him. He was the one no one wanted to be. He was squimish when it came to certain punishments, and he pitied some of the souls.
Two contrasting demons that no one would have suspected were related.
But they were, and it was a fact that Alastor resented from the moment his son took his first breath of air.
Sartael would resent it too...that is, if he ever found out WHO his absent father was...
*This story has nothing to do with my 'Destiny over Fate' series/verse, but there will be some demonology elements and backstories shared between the two verses*

One second Usue was being led out of Hell by Sartael and the next, she was waking up in Blanca's arms with Sartael threatening the townsfolk.
But what happened between those scenes? How did Sartael know about the townsfolk's abuse and what led to his lie about her being a Saint?
What exactly went on during that trek from Hell to the mortal realm?
*Bit of a prologue for my Destiny over Fate series. Also works as a stand alone to what I think happened from the time Sartael led Usue out of Hell to when she woke up surrounded by the villagers.*
Sartael has made a fool of Alastor; of Hell; of the Devil himself. One day they will find him, and they will drag him back to the pit.
The least he can do is make himself hard to find.
