As the flames grow higher they hear the sounds of airships above and look up, seeing Garlean ships approach. Her gut clenches uneasily, and she feels something horrible is on its way.
The bombs begin to fall.
The gas explodes out as they hit their targets below.They had won, Elidibus had been defeated on the fields of Ghimlyt, only for Varis to order the release of Black Rose. No one survived the battlefield.

Hades had said his farewells in Ultima Thule, had snapped his fingers and was ready for his soul to return to the Lifestream. All had gone according to plan if the Warrior of Light hadn't unconsciously chained him to her side through the power of her wish alone. Stuck in between the realm of the living and dead, unbeknownst to anyone but himself and Hythlodaeus, Hades was in a situation not of his choosing.
To make matters worst, Meteion had decided he needed a wake up call and sent him to an alternate reality, a world 6 years in the future in which Hades himself had chosen instead to stay. All in the hopes that he would 'learn' to hope again.

The truth is that everything has been odd since she’s arrived here, and in a strange way, Emet-Selch’s offer to help, odd as it is, shouldn’t feel out of place. The sky is alight all hours of the day, a hooded man who is awfully secretive about his identity has whisked her across time and space, and refuses to show his face. Her friends, the Scions, have been in this world for weeks, years in some cases, when it’s only felt like days to her… And the truth is that they are not even full forms of them, for they are no more than their souls!
And yet, somehow, it is Emet-Selch’s offer to help that stands out to her as odd.
When Emet-Selch offers to help, Stella can't help but find him an oddity. A curiosity.
She can't stop thinking about him, and when he decides to grace her with his company, when he gives in to her curiosity just a little, he starts to occupy her thoughts every hour of the day.
And for her, that's definitely not a good thing.
