Summary
Arthur Morgan is fourteen years old when his father's shot dead in front of him in their small cabin in northern Maryland. With no one to turn to, he ventures into the wilderness by himself with only a few belongings, the clothes on his back, and very limited knowledge of how to survive. And then, when all seems lost, he's taken in by a pair of charitable bandits with silver tongues, sharp wits, and big dreams of taking down civilized society to bring America back to a purer state.
Along the way, they find more wayward souls, building up a strong group that's the closest thing to family most of them will ever have. Has Arthur found his place, or will his second family crumble just like his first did?
A fairly canon-compliant interpretation of The Van der Linde gang, mostly from Arthur's POV, 1878-1899.
WARNING. As is the nature of most long fics like this, there's a bunch of ugly stuff going forward. Mostly violence, a few mentions of some darker stuff, but probably never anything too overly graphic. TL,DR; shit gets real.
Updates are a bit slow, due to life sucking. Never more than a month and a half without an update. No plans of cancelation.

Summary
"He began to both dread and yearn for his dreams—uneasy over what he might see, but still filled with inescapable longing just to be near the two of them."
After having lost Eliza & Isaac and avenging their deaths, Arthur struggles to cope and keeps his grief intensely private, refraining from even journaling about them. His intense emotions grapple with him until they leak into his dreams, the only outlet he's left for them. Memories first, then regrets, then wishes and lovely imaginings for what could've been.
*This is the third work in a series. While you can absolutely read it as is, it might make a little more sense if you read "Only Fools Hold onto Hope" and Part 2 of "Disaster Road" first. This works picks up after "Disaster Road" chronologically.*
**While this work is not graphic, there will be one chapter that is very emotionally intense.**
***New chapter added regularly! And comments always welcome!***

Summary
August 21st, 1887; Gruene, Texas
"What's good here?"
I turned to tell the man our menu and specials, and was frozen by his shockingly-blue eyes. I ran my eyes over him quickly, taking in his tall, broad build and roguishly-handsome face with the speckling of light facial hair.
Oh Lord.
I felt a blush creeping over my caramel skin as I took his order, and when I came back with the plate of fried catfish, a Southern specialty, I found myself pulling a chair out to sit with him. After pulling a bank job in the major livestock town of Fort Worth, Texas, the Van der Linde gang heads south for a reprise in the gulf. While the rest of the gang heads to South Padre, Arthur Morgan decides to stay in a small town south of Austin, an insular community called Gruene to find leads for him and Hosea and scope out a new camp for Dutch.
Upon arriving, Arthur finds himself in the local saloon, and a young waitress catches his eye.***I'm not sure how long this work will be, but I plan to create a storyline up until Eliza and Isaac's death. Haven't wrote a fic in a while, bear with me! :)**

Summary
“Are we losing him, Dutch?”
Dutch exhaled, averting his eyes elsewhere when he saw the pain and fear in John’s eyes. “Now don’t say such ludicrous things like that. It will pass. Time heals all wounds, son. You see…Grief…It’s something everyone will go through inevitably. He’ll come around soon."
(Where Arthur takes Eliza and Isaac's death much harder than he did originally and John tries to help him.)

Summary
"Set in the modern era, Van der Linde, under the presidency of Dutch van der Linde and Hosea Mattews, is a motorcycle gang that roles over the small town of Blackwater, operating both illegal and legal business. They combine running a bar downtown and owning a garage with gun-smuggling and robbery. Van der Linde values freedom and liberties above all else and dreams of living an independent existence. But when the life of crimes starts to root deep within the members, relationships start to crumble and form, people show their true colors, and the only way left for some to survive is the path of redemption. "
This story is a recreation of Red Dead Redemption and what it could have been if it happened in the modern era with a little bit of inspiration drawn from the Sons of Anarchy TV series.
Exclaimer: I have no claim over the characters or even the plot and earn no profit from it. It's just a pure work of fiction, written for the enjoyment of Red Dead Redemption fans (myself included).

Summary
"She hadn’t realized—and she didn’t think he had either—that he could be so gentle and pensive. She couldn’t take her eyes off him. He was so enthralled and mystified by their son—by this beautiful, innocent life they’d created together—so clearly enraptured by love for him, that his jaw hung open and his voice was completely swept away. Besides Isaac, she’d never experienced a moment when she felt more intimate with, more connected to another human being.
She knew right then: for better or worse, she was desperately in love with this man."

Summary
A patchwork of moments in the aftermath of the deaths of Eliza and Isaac.
-- "How’d you do it, you and Dutch?” he asks softly, still staring at the crosses. Hosea feels a bitter smile stretch across his face. “We didn’t. Not really. I spent the better part of that year at the bottom of a bottle, and Dutch, he...well, you remember. Reckon you’re handling it better than either one of us ever did.” Hosea says wryly. His smile drops. “It dulls, after a while. You learn how to live again, I s’pose.” --

Summary
First epilogue added
Arthur Morgan followed his own advice and left the gang when he had a child (the canonical Eliza and Isaac), taking up as a bounty hunter. Along the way he picked up a young John Marston, who thus never runs with Dutch. Despite leaving, Arthur never truly left his connections behind him, and when Dutch asked for help, he always answered. In 1899, during the event of the game, this arrangement might eventually force Arthur to choose to whom he truly owes his loyalty.
John sneered. "You think I'd protect Dutch Van der Linde? Believe me, if I knew where he was, I'd tell you. Hell, I'd go get him myself. He's worth 10 large right now."
Milton sneered right back. "I am not a fool, Mister Marston, kindly do not treat me as one. You would do nothing without Arthur Morgan's say-so, and that will be what puts you on the gallows right beside him."

Summary
He’s this fearsome giant, with skin of a ghostly tone, bearing red marks like a warrior from a distant land. I can’t convey just how terrifying he really is, how his infernal glare burns my soul, and how I tremble when he speaks with a voice like rolling thunder that could only come from some kind of beast. I feel he could kill me at any moment, yet he’s the only reason I’m still alive.
He found me and brought me here after I was left to die. I don’t know why he would spare me, and he’s not given me much insight as to how he cured me of my illness. He insists I rest up here, and he left no room for argument, to say the least.
I should be dead by now. God knows folk would be better off for it, but this stranger seems to think my life is worth saving. He has some knowledge I have yet to grasp, but I’m left pondering how wise he is for keeping a bastard like me around. I guess I’d like to know what reason he has to show mercy to a wretched criminal.

Summary
Howdy, my fellow outlaws! I have been working on this for quite some time, so I decided to share it. There is still a lot left to do, but in the meantime here are the chapters I have written down. Also yes, I know Arthur wasn't there for the Blackwater job, so bear with me if there are any game lore errors. Since this is an alternate time, there, of course, will be some changes to the story in order to align it with the time period. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
Have you ever wondered what Red Dead would be like based in the 1950s? Well, look no further because here you are! All your favorite characters have undergone a transformation into bombshells and gangsters. The present timeline is set right after World War Two, so this story will study the after-effects of the war on our characters. In the original story, none of the characters with the exception of Bill and Pearson had served in the army or any of the forces, but of course, things are drastically different in this. So if you wanted to picture Arthur and John in handsome military uniforms, then this is the story for you! There are mature themes peppered in here, so just a fair warning.

“If he ever comes back here,” He whispered to the fire, the rage pumping through his veins with every beat of his heart, “I’ll make him wish he had died.”
Hosea gave him a look over the fire, a soft, heartbroken thing, but Arthur could find no remorse within him to give.

Summary
Arthur Morgan is a young outlaw following in the footsteps of his departed father and found family, Dutch van der Linde and friends. Though he's been raised by the best bandits and thieves for years, having turned eighteen it's time to make a proper name for himself in the ever expanding West like the rest of them have. A few minor hiccups aside, all seems to be going as planned — until he meets her. Pretty as a rose and sweet as honeycomb, soon the young outlaw finds himself enraptured by possibilities of a different sort of life.
Will he continue down the stepping stones laid out by those who've come before him or will he carve a new path for himself? Is fate kind to those who break its' chains? Only time will reveal the answers. . . but perhaps it's already too late.

Summary
''Where are we going to go now?'' The child mewled, kicking his boot into the ground below. Grinding the toe of his scuffed boots that were much too big for him. ''What are we going to do?''
''I. Son, we aren't staying here. You aren't staying here. We're going to stay with- with my family.'' His father replied, looking down at the ground and shuffling similarly on his feet, not looking at his son not looking at the freshly moved earth.
''I don't want to leave. Please daddy, stay here with me. Don't leave mama.'' The child protests.
''This hurts me too, I know boy, I know. But. There's nothing else I can do.'' He replies, fixing the boy's possessions to the saddlebags of Boadicea. ''I promise nothing will happen this time.''***
