Summary
Professions like firefighting attracted more doms and switches than subs, but there were a few, and they were never treated as less than. What you liked in the bedroom had nothing to do with who you were out in the world, but that said, he’d put money on Eddie being the same calm, steady presence as a dom as he was a friend and partner. Yeah, there was an underlying intensity, a fierceness to protect who and what was close to his heart, and maybe…
Buck shook his head. Making himself abandon that train of thought before it led to somewhere he didn’t want to venture. The odd stray thought about fucking his friend was bad enough, but all the other stuff? Nope. Not going there.OR
Eddie jumps at the chance to transfer to the 118, even if it means keeping an eye on a troubled probie who just can't stop getting into trouble.
Buck is on his last warning, and the last thing he wants is Eddie waltzing in and being so damn perfect all the time, playing on all his insecurities.
Eddie knows Buck needs a dom in his life, but getting him to see that without risking the friendship that springs up between them is not going to be simple.

Summary
Post-Episode 5x10. Summary: After a bitter breakup with Taylor and Eddie’s announcement that he’s leaving the 118, Buck spirals into a self-hating, self-sacrificing breakdown. During a harrowing call, he severely burns his hands trying to save someone.
Deeply concerned, Eddie insists on taking care of Buck throughout his recovery. Buck realizes his feelings for Eddie are stronger than he thought…and that terrifies him. He already lost him as a partner. He didn’t want to lose him a friend, too.
A/N: Get ready for some whump and angst, people. What I think is going to happen after the events of 5x10. I’m gonna warn you, this is really emotionally heavy and pretty much like a therapy exercise for me right now. I’m literally crying while writing. I’m okay though. This is cathartic.
Title and chapter titles based on the song "when the party's over" by Billie Eillish.

Summary
After a while he starts to miss Mom a little bit less, and he thinks Dad does too, because they have Buck. He doesn’t think about her a hundred times a day like he used to, maybe just once or twice, or some days not at all until he says goodnight to her because Dad framed a picture of the three of them to always sit on Chris’ nightstand. At first he felt bad that there are days when he doesn’t think of her but Dad tells him it’s okay because the love is still there anyway and that makes a lot of sense because he always loves her even when she’s not on his mind, just like he always loves Dad when he’s not on his mind either. Buck says Dad is definitely right because the love is in his heart and his heart beats it all through his body so of course it’s always there, it’s always there making his heart beat and his body warm.
Chris is really glad he has both Dad and Buck to help with the hurt and the tough questions. He already knows a lot himself, but it’s good to have back-up.
or, Buck and Eddie through Christopher's eyes.

Summary
“Bucky?”
“Chris, buddy, is everything okay?” He’s already putting on his jacket, his phone nudged between his ear and shoulder.
“No,” Chris sniffles on the other side of the line. “Can you come, please?”
“Christopher, open this door.” He hears Ana say harshly but the sound is muffled.
“No! You’re mean and I don’t like you!” Chris yells at her. “Bucky, please come. I don’t want to stay with her.”--
When Christopher asks Buck for help when he's supposed to stay with Ana for the night, Eddie has to think about what he really wants to do with his romantic life.

Summary
Buck admits sometimes he has his dumbass moments.
He likes to think he’s a overall averagely intelligent man (modest too) but he understands the signal when Hen lets go of a ever-suffering sigh, when Eddie’s roasting comments sit plain on his expressive face, or the scrunched up face Chim has when he’s mentally refraining from face-palming. Those signals are a dead giveaway that words came out of his mouth before his brain filtered them.
And this situation was no exception.

The beginnings of a love story.

Summary
It’s karaoke night, and Buck is on the stage, holding the mic and singing his heart out. He’s dancing around, his cheeks flushed pink and somehow he’s glowing under the dim lights in the bar, like he’s lighting up the entire place all on his own. Eddie looks at Buck from his seat in the audience and he just knows that there’s a twinkle in Buck’s gorgeous blue eyes, and he can’t help but think about how beautiful Buck looks right now, and —
OR Eddie has some realizations as he watches Buck sing his heart out

Summary
"Everything was just so easy. And it felt oh, so right. It started in the beautiful rooms of the 118, working well together as partners, before it ended up being meetings in dim parking lots as lovers. It wasn't supposed to happen like this. It wasn't supposed to be secret, but Shannon came back into the picture right as Buck and Eddie were about to fall on the same page. It wasn't like Eddie could turn Shannon away. She was Christopher's mother. Buck was just Buck. So it was on the downlow for as long as it could be. Because Eddie couldn't choose who he wanted more. The mother of his child or the man whom he fell for—it just means Bucks gets to have Eddie in his apartment or in dim parking lots for date night without anyone from work or their personal lives finding out. It was easy to pretend that he wasn't in love with Eddie in front of others because Eddie did the same, and it always ended up getting more love from him the next time they were alone."
OR
Buck and Eddie are in love, the catch? They're not supposed to be. And it keeps happening. Over and Over again until one of them can't take it anymore.

Summary
“My kid loves her.” Eddie says, like that’s the end of the argument, and Buck has to stop and stare at his best friend, because what the actual fuck?
“Well, Christopher loves me too, so if that’s all that matters, I don’t know why you didn’t date me years ago.” Buck snarks back without thinking.
He hadn’t meant to say that.

Summary
After the shooting, not only does Eddie have to deal with the trauma from that event, and the trauma he thought he'd move past from the army, he also gets smacked in the face with a sexuality crisis. He realizes that he has strictly not platonic feelings for his best friend and has to work up the courage to deal with them. And also, work up the courage to dump his very lovely girlfriend...
What could possibly go wrong?
The positive pregnancy test she slams down on the counter after she refuses to let him break up with her seems like maybe he should have known better than to ask that question.
