Summary
Cynthia took a delicate sip of her drink, leaning back in her seat as she watched him with unrestrained amusement. Her tongue flashed across her bottom lip, chasing the lingering taste, and an expression that was decidedly wicked slipped across her lovely face.
“My dare,” she started, dragging the word out teasingly, “is for you to call Laurent.”
Makoto frowned, because that was too easy, and if he had learned anything over the years it was that no one in this goddamn team was easy. “What’s the catch?”
Cynthia smirked at him, pleased and a little fond, before it was lost to her excitement. “I want you to call Laurent, and I want you to leave him a…special message.”
Makoto stared at her for a beat, brain sluggishly trying to understand her meaning – before he flushed harshly.
Makoto should have said 'truth'.

Summary
Edamura Makoto wants to do nothing more than use some of his well-earned con money to go on a lavish coffee adventure around the world, free of his criminal struggles from over the past few years, before settling down somewhere nice and quiet. Especially keeping away from a tenacious blonde bastard.
But during a visit to a charming coffee shop in the outskirts of Taipei, Taiwan, he meets a rather captivating woman standing next door, tears rolling down her cheeks as she watches a cruel man take away her family's workplace and the entire neighborhood's as well to build a new factory for bubble tea distribution... or so he says. Edamura said he wouldn't go back to the con life, but what harm would it do to help out such a kind woman and her adoptive parents? But there's a nagging feeling in the back of his head that won't go away the more he learns about her and her troubling past. It doesn't help that he feels like he's seen the shiny ring glinting brightly on her finger before...

Summary
The way Laurent’s hands had smelt like antiseptic earlier when he had wrapped the towel around Makoto should have been a straight forward hint.
The person they had conned this time round was smart, cautious and Laurent had volunteered himself.
He stretched his own hands out, opening his palms and smiling encouragingly, “It’s just a bruise right?”

Summary
Edamura eyes the ‘Days Since Laurent’s Last Himbo Nonsense’ sign on the fridge. The messy five that was written there when Edamura left for work has been wiped out and replaced with a big, fat zero.
“What did you do this time?”
“Whatever do you mean, my dear Edamame?”
Edamura’s gaze flickers to the sign next to Laurent’s Himbo sign, reading ‘Days Since Last Attempted Con’ and notes that it has also been reset back to zero.
(Four former con artists move in together and attempt to settle into a normal, honest life. What could possibly go wrong?)
