Summary
1717. The Widow Bonnet has just buried her husband. For the second time.
Instead of wallowing in her grief, the widow closes the chapter of her life centered around Stede and embraces her own freedom and peace.
Things do not go as planned.
Or
Following Stede’s ‘demise,’ Mary receives increasingly strange and unwelcomed guests.
*
"Mary wasn’t sure, precisely, what had awoken her in the middle of the night. Perhaps it was the fog of tobacco smoke enveloping her bed. Or the crinkle of leather hunting for a more comfortable position in its seat, followed by the sound of bootheels coming to rest on the small table beside her head. Or maybe, perhaps, it was the steady chipping away of the wood on said table, as the phantom in her bedroom casually tossed a knife into her furniture, plucked it out, and tossed it again."

Summary
Edward Teach removes himself from everyday life to escape an old history that he's sure is still following him. He's been living in the mountains by a small town for years, living on his self-established homestead to stay as off the grid as he can. He seems to be the epitome of rugged manliness; something a soft-handed, well-off man admires greatly. He's got the life Stede Bonnet could only imagine in his distant day dreams.
So when the well-off man wants to help out and learn the ropes of how to live such a rugged life, what can Ed do but try and help him keep an axe blade out of his leg?
If he survives the experience, maybe Ed can start returning all the pieces of Stede's wardrobe he keeps collecting. -

Male dancers! Pirate theme! No cover charge! Two drink minimum. Private rooms available.
Stede didn't regret staying friends with Mary after their divorce. He did, however, wish she hadn't insisted on him joining her hen party at The Kraken.
Ed had been a dancer for Spanish Jackie's club for years and was frankly getting bored of it. But there was something about the flustered man in the three piece suit that made him think that maybe this job wasn't all bad.

Summary
I listened to Glimpse of Us by Joji about seven million times and an idea formed. A sort of... What if? What if when Stede returned to Mary, she was happy to see him? What if she still loved him? What if he was pining for Ed while trying to keep his shit together? Maybe it would go something like this?
-------------
It was good to be home.
So why then tonight, same as every night, when Stede closed his eyes, was it not Mary he dreamt of? Not delicate fingertips but rough knuckles. Not joined hands but claps on the back. Not a gentle lilt of laughter, but a gruff rumble. Not grace but swagger. Not linen but leather. It was not familiarity and caution he ached for, but something new and dark and dangerous. Something that did not safeguard his heart, but tugged it, clawed at it, pulled it right from his chest.
Fuck. “Ed.”
Mary stretched. She fought heavy eyelids to look at him. “Hm? Did you say something?”
“Oh, nothing.” Stede forced a smile. “Go back to sleep.”
-------------
Can’t decide if it should be rated M or T. Mateen? Teenture? Either way. Angst n pining n being in love.

“He wants to return to Barbados to dig up the corpse of your old captain and then give it a proper burial at sea. Because a ghost told him to.”
Jim could only look at him in stunned silence, needing a moment to process what he had just told them.
“That’s…fucked up.” was all they could say.
“Yes,” Izzy agreed, “incredibly fucked up.”

Summary
She had her own room, after that – apparently she was now a young lady who needed plenty of space to herself. She hadn’t especially minded sharing with Louis, but the view from her new room was of magnolia trees, which couldn’t be faulted. Not to mention, no one noticed how she started nicking Daddy’s few remaining things from around the house and squirreling them away in her partly-filled hope chest.
The fanciful, adventurous bedtime stories Daddy used to tell her and Louis sounded more appealing than ever. Alma had prided herself on never flinching at the scary bits, even as Louis curled into her side, but now she thought she was relatively used to excessive amounts of blood and didn’t see why she should be deprived of the other exciting fixings of life at sea.
//Alma Bonnet, aged eleven, talks her way onto the Revenge under the guise of getting to know her father. Really she just wants to be a pirate. Mentorship and fluff ensues.
Also Alma is non-binary and lowkey idolizes Jim because I said so. Alma's pronouns might change later in the fic.

This was everything she’d desired and more and yet nowhere near enough. His thumb gathered her slick and spread it upwards. His lips sucked and nibbled at her throat. Mary wanted it to last forever and also needed him to stop and enter her already.
She’d completely forgotten he had a second hand until it pressed against her opening. Fingers pushed around her edges, testing the boundary and finding them wet and wanting. Mary shouted, first in surprise but then in a long, glorious moan that embodied the pleasure she felt radiating through her whole body from her center.
Or, Mary's first time having sex with Doug is markedly different from her wedding night

“So, first,” Ed began, holding the karate belt up and folding it roughly in half, “you’ve gotta make sure you’ve got it symmetrical. Then you start from the front. Mind if I—?”
“Not at all,” Stede interrupted, lifting his arms reflexively as Ed moved the belt toward his waist, thumbs just brushing against his hips before they disappeared behind him, fingers trailing around the circumference of his body. Oh, God. Ed was… embracing him. Why was this so bloody unnerving?
A modern AU retelling of Our Flag Means Death in which Ed is a master karate instructor and Stede is a divorcee history professor who is taking his kids to Ed’s class.I hope you'll check out my Blackbelt podfic (performed by me! 18 chapters posted so far!)

Summary
‘Right! This is it! Places everyone! Look scary! Phasers at the ready!’ He snapped his fingers at Lucius. ‘Hail the ship.’
It took a while for the ship to answer, but answer they did. Two men of a species Stede was unfamiliar with popped up on the screen, looking rather confused. He put on his best scary voice and said, ‘Surrender! You have no chance of escape!’
Or: Stede is a human from a cushy Federation colony, stuck in an unhappy marriage and a boring life. He runs off to become a space pirate with a bunch of weirdoes he collects on the way, and then an unfortunate incident with some Klingons almost costs him his life, but fortunately for him, the infamous Blackbeard saves his life. And sticks around.
