Contrary to what historians vehemently debated a full century later, avoiding the beast of White Agony Plains was much easier than what was concluded. All Goldie had to do was run in the opposite direction of the mammoth’s furious roars, and this she accomplished without breaking a sweat, a natural consequence of spending five years encased in a glacier.
But what if...just what if...those researchers missed the mark in their research? What if...through random happenstance and moral epiphany she returned to where Scrooge was interred and freed him?

When he couldn't find Donald anywhere in the city, he started to worry. He could access anything on the planet, so there was no reason he wouldn't be able to locate him that didn't suggest something had gone wrong.
But it was when Donald's nephews came snooping around the tower that he was certain something terrible had happened to his friend. The nephews had never spent any significant amount of time here, as Donald tried to keep them as far out of his PK business as possible, so if they'd found their way here they must be searching for him too.
Or, possibly even worse, searching for Paperinik. Or “both” of them.

Based on that classic PK comic, "Escape to the Future", where Donald accidentally travels 12 years into the future and HDL become the Duck Guard in Paperinik's absence, except set in the PKNA universe instead! (you should be able to understand what's going on even without reading PKNA, if you want, though; HDL don't know what's going on either, so everything gets explained!) -

The day-to-day of the heroic ducks of Duckburg and St. Canard, both for their struggles against the bad guys and for their lives in their secret identities.
Donald, Scrooge and his nephews will live in a house in St. Canard for a while while the McDuck manor was undergoing by a fumigation.
At the house, Donald finds a mysterious costume that makes him Duck Avenger, fighting crime alongside with the Ultraducks, where Gizmoduck falls in love with him, however, he is in love with Fenton who is actually Gizmoduck, but the two don't know their identities.
Meanwhile, Scrooge decides to reclaim his glory days as Masked Top Hat and turns the boys into the triplet-titan, their sidekicks.
Meanwhile, Emmeline, Morgana's 15-year-old daughter falls in love with Lena, but is extremely shy, so she is encouraged by her future sister Gosalyn, while Drake tries to prove herself a good stepfather to her before his marriage to Morgan. -
