Jason Todd wakes up in his coffin. After digging his way out of the grave and a few months' stay in the hospital as a John Doe (as in canon), he leaves and is now on the streets of Gotham City. He is catatonic and has brain damage due to his injuries. Scared and alone and being chased by someone...Jason finally finds a safe place to hide...and finds the family he lost. But what does this mean for the Bat family? What kind of life will Jason have now? How will the Bat family cope when one of them has significant brain injuries and trauma and there's no pit or any magical/telepathic way to fix the damage?

He dropped into a defensive position. A yelp sounded through the darkness and the creature thrashed harder, struggling to make it to shore. As it got closer, Jason could see the outline of a tail. It didn’t belong to any type of animal he had ever seen before, but it wasn’t terribly big either. That didn’t mean it couldn’t be a threat though; Jason knew better than to underestimate a potential enemy.

It’s been a pretty quiet night. There aren't many of those, especially in Blud, so Dick feels reasonably suspicious that something is going to go wrong. If not soon, at least within the next 72 hours.
After orbiting around various rooms for several minutes, not knowing what to do with this free time, he finds himself in the kitchen, eating his third bowl of cereal for the day. As he remarks on the beauty of (over)sugared cereal and how it colors the milk just right if you get the correct kind, he hears a click from his window.
He immediately jumps to his feet, his thoughts of cereal chemistry momentarily forgotten, and grabs up his escrima sticks from the table by the door.
After a tense moment, there's a groan and the window opens. A bloody hand reaches up and grabs onto the window sill. With another groan, the person pulls themselves up and over the window, thumping down into a heap on the floor.
Dick darts forward, escrima stick raised over his hand, before stopping short at the sight of their face.
"Jason?"

When Clark Kent, an investigative journalist from Daily Planet, bumps into Bruce Wayne while the man is changing his tuxedo for something more kick-ass comfortable, he is sure his mysterious teammate is not happy about Superman learning his secret identity.
As it happens, Clark is both right and wrong. It is not enough to know one secret when inside the man lives six different people. Somehow one of them gets Clark to fake-date another one for the sake of an important business deal… or was it to cover the family against the nosy child protection officers… or to get rid of Brucie’s catty dominatrix? Or just to have a hell of a lot of fun at Hal and Barry’s expense?
This looks like a job for Superman… to run for the hills after he realizes their arrangement is turning even more precarious when his lingering feelings are returned, and not by playboy Brucie or business savvy Wayne, but Superman’s scary and complicated teammate, Batman.
It’s a damn mess of temperaments, interests, and sexual orientations with a network of enemies and allies who all have their agendas with the Wayne family in mind.
And Clark still has three other identities to meet.

So, in his first, last, and only year as Red Robin, Tim travels the world in order to rescue Bruce, then disappears to raise his son. The only problem?

“NO!” Dick yells back, and Damian freezes.
“I won’t spar with you if you think sparring means trying to kill your partner! It isn’t worth it if you get hurt, alright? GET THAT THROUGH YOUR SKULL!”
Damian has. Damian has made an error.
Damian has made several errors in quick succession. Of course Dick’s judgement on the intensity of their sparring would be correct. Of course he had no right to make demands of Dick. He has not only disrespected Dick’s authority, but flat out disobeyed him.
And Damian has seen him fight. He knows what those fists can do.
He swallows.

Jason returned after three months of endless missions with the outlaws, to his favorite safe-house. No neighbors, The perfect entrance and exit to the building with no nosy onlookers. Did he mention no neighbors to hear him clumping around with his heavy uncomfortable boots at odd hours of the night? Because that feels like the most important part.
Except, something was off, something he couldn’t quite put his finger on. It set off all paranoia that’s been ingrained in every last cell on his body for the past 20 years of his life.
It took him some thorough searching of his apartment, the alleyway and hall. But he finally figured it out.

Damian, still fairly new to the Batclan, accidentally falls down the stairs and bangs his head. A dose of amnesia later and the Bats discover Jason is the only one he remembers... and only because Jason used to care for him as a child in the League.
AKA Jason being a soft 'bodyguard' to Dami and Damian acting a little more like a kid (considering his memories only span to 5 or 6 years old.)
