Summary
Fred gets a bad flu. John and Roger try to take care of him but are abysmal at best-- Roger burns soup and almost singes a cat and Deacy runs around with bedclothes tented over his head until Brian arrives to save the day.
(Or, it is late summer/early fall of 1982 and after the Hot Space tour in America Freddie gets incredibly sick. It is entirely possible this sickness was the original inception of his HIV/AIDS symptoms.)
Includes some swearing.
Chapters 10 and 11 in particular include medical situations that could potentially be frightening or triggering to some readers. I will also be including some references to an abusive relationship and to drug use in later chapters, so please be warned and read responsibly. -

Summary
“Hello, my dear!” Freddie greeted with a huge grin, holding out his hand. “So glad that you could join us, my name is Freddie Mercury, it’s a pleasure.”
The bassist smiled a little more, putting down the mini amp to take Freddie’s hand and giving it a shake. “Uh… you too, I’m John Deacon.”
“John,” Freddie said softly, testing out the name. He decided he liked it. And he already liked John. “Well, John, I’m looking forward to your audition.”
(Or the one where John Deacon auditions for Queen, and Freddie may already have a crush)

Brian chuckled, leaning against the cupboard and running his finger along the carved pattern. “So, what do you say? Come out here and we’ll wait for those two to get back? I’ll make you a nice, hot cup of hot chocolate.”
“What am I, five?”
Brian grinned, hearing the teasing in the blonde’s voice. “On a bad day, yes.”
“Piss off.” Roger piped, kicking the door. “Bri?”
“Yes, Rog?”
“I’m seriously about to piss myself.”
