Dream has always been told that Elytrians are elegant, dangerous, and fearsome creatures. But the man in the dingy cell in front of him, his slumped figure held upright by chained wrists and captured wings, looks nothing like what he imagined. And, when a pair of shimmering blue eyes meet his, filled with a powerful mix of both terror and pain, Dream finds himself willing to dish out whatever funds the seller demands in order to protect the poor man from an even crueler fate than the one he's already been dealt. No matter what it takes, Dream is going to free this majestic bird, patch up his wounds, and ensure that he will one day fly again.
Or, Dream takes one look at Phil's massive wings being treated so terribly and promptly agrees to adopt the man into his unusual little family that consists of a goggle-wearing king, a fiery commander, a chaotic ghost and chicken, a bunny who insists he's anything but that, a very excitable bee, and a terribly shy enderman who gives the best hugs.

Dream loved Wilbur, and Wilbur loved Dream.
But the relationship went downhill as Dream became more and more possessive of Wilbur and the relationship was ultimately ended when Phil walked in on Dream hitting Wilbur.
But Dream still loved Wilbur.
So when Wilbur is resurrected by Dream, Wilbur doesn't remember anything. So Dream tells him they're lovers. Wilbur accepts this.
No one knows that Wilbur is back. Only Dream knows.
But Wilbur's family is suspecting him of having to do something with the ghost of Wilbur disappearing.
Dream won't admit that he has Wilbur. Wilbur is his and only his. Even if he's put on house arrest.

“Dream, if you could take it all back, would you?”
“Without hesitation. No Disc War, no war for L’Manburg’s independence, no exile… No prison.”
“Yeah, that’d be nice… I’d take it back too if I could. I thought that destroying L'Manburg would solve everything, but it just created more problems. I’ve hurt so many people.”
“We’ve hurt so many people… Are we monsters, Wil?”
“No. We’ve made a lot of mistakes, but that doesn’t make us evil.”
“I hope you’re right… Prime, I’d do anything to be able to go back and fix it all…”
Suddenly, Wilbur’s house is illuminated by a bright, blinding flash of light, followed by nothing but pure darkness. Meanwhile, the small beige couch where the two men sat conversing is completely empty, neither of them anywhere to be spotted. At least, not during this timeline.
Or, a conversation between Dream and Wilbur about their regrets leads to them getting sent back in time with the opportunity to mend broken relationships and fix the mistakes they've made.

Collection of DSMP story ideas/AUs that I’ve started, and now I'm sharing them here! All these ideas/AUs are free to use if you wanna, but I’d love to know if you end up writing one :)
Some AUs in this: 1. Manhunt Dream’s on the run and meets criminals Techno & Wilbur, they work together to take down corrupt King Schlatt. 2. Dream & Wilbur are third-graders, Wil forcefully adopts Dream into his family when he finds out Dream doesn’t have one. 3. Several where merling Dream & phantom Wilbur bond over their mutual dislike of the sun. 4. Phil-centric whump fic with good friend Techno and unlikely ally Dream, inspired by Bunflower's amazing fic "i wanna hear it's alright".
Some story ideas: 1. Bandit Dream's captured by Sheriff's sons Techno & Wilbur, except they’re ambushed by Dream’s friends/the brothers are almost killed, but when no one’s looking Dream frees them, leading to the trio committing crimes together. 2. Dream SMP as mythology, but I make it wholesome. Tommy (Theseus) goes to slay Dream (minotaur), but discovers he’s actually pretty chill, so he helps Dream escape the labyrinth/SBI adopts him.

Tommy doesn't remember much from his childhood other than he somehow ended up working for Puffy who offered him a place to stay. He met Tubbo sometime after and moved in with the hybrid, working during the day and kicking ass at night, even if some of the gadgets given to him were on the more questionable side of 'I know this is already illegal but this feels illegal'.
So of course a sleep-deprived man enters the cafe on a day Tommy happens to be at the counter.

“You good man?” Tommy questioned, not sure if the man in front of him was also on something else or just extremely exhausted.
“Yeah, sorry, just had a long night,” the man in question replied, whose eyes were brown and mixed with hints of swirling misty white, “can I get a latte with five shots of caffeine please?”
“What the fuck man, just do cocaine,” Tommy muttered in surprise, which the man managed to catch, a small smile forming on his face as he exhaled.
