Izuku had never really been...normal. He hadn't played heroes and villains like the other kids, instead opting out to read books about math and science. Instead of birthday parties, he used some of the money he had earned doing neighborhood chores to go buy ice cream and eat it at the beach. Instead of racing to get candy and wearing costumes for Halloween, he liked to stay in his room and read about All Hallows Eve, and try to imagine what it must have been like during that time. And instead of crying over being declared Quirkless, he divulged himself in studies, taking the bullying and abuse from his peers and parents without a second thought. He didn't like himself, so why would he expect the people around him to like him? He didn't expect his monotonous life to amount to anything, but did the universe want that? Of course not. Instead, the universe decided his life should be fucked with a a whole lot more.

They weren’t as bad as this, though. Todoroki sat next to Aizawa in the two chairs closest to the door. When they saw him running at them, Aizawa stood up.

At the age of 14 he encounters All Might and asks him if he can be a hero, the heroes answer was plain and simple: No.
Izuku Midroiya proves him wrong, with the help of his friends, spite, some villains, and a couple of gods, Izuku Midoriya becomes what he was always meant to be. And he'll be damned if he lets anyone get in the way of his dreams.
Whether it be death, regret, anger, or guilt, he'll find a way to overcome it...as soon as he gets over his shock when he starts hearing voices in his head.
