The local community radio show host, Cecil G. Palmer, and his husband, Carlos the Scientist, take special interest in Thomas and his Sides, and offer to be their guides to this friendly desert community.

There’s a click, and then a thump as Kevin's back hits the studio wall, and then they were all staring at the space where the door had been only moments before in stunned silence. “Listeners… the door is gone.”
The Old Oak Doors close, Strex is defeated, and all is saved, except for the people that have to live with the fallout.
Cecil is left behind on the right side of the doors, and maybe it's madness, or lonliness, or a thousand other reasons, but he goes out to dinner with Kevin and then he falls into bed with him. It's a mistake, and he tells himself it will never happen again, and yet... and yet...

Cecil makes a face that is stuck somewhere between fear, confusion, and bone deep concern. Carlos is fairly certain he’s making the same face right now too, so he settles for putting his hands on Cecil’s cheeks and saying, “we won’t let it come to that.”
It doesn’t do much to quell his fears, and by the looks of it, doesn’t do much to quell Cecil’s either.
“Carlos is right,” Dave agrees, “we won’t let it come to that. You don’t have anything to worry about, Cecil. Everything is going to be fine.”
