Midoriya Izuku cannot remember a time before the Rising Sun Menagerie. He can hardly remember what it means to be human. But what he can remember is the boy in the audience with the wild purple hair, the one with the sad eyes, and when he's given the opportunity to escape the confinement of the menagerie, he knows that the boy will help remind him how to be human again.
Shinsou Hitoshi has already had his big rescue, has already been freed from a dark and tumultuous past, and he's doing everything he can to forget about it. By all accounts, his life is perfect, he has two loving fathers and a straight shot at his dream career, so why would he ever need to think about his past endeavors? But when he's forced to take part in an intelligence mission gone wrong that lands him with a boy traumatized by the same people Hitoshi was once saved from, he knows he'll have to face his trauma and learn how to help the little green kitten along the way.

Little does he know that he has piqued the interest of a certain purple-haired alpha and his family of villains, oh and the smartest being on earth wants to adopt him? Follow Izuku on his journey of heartache and misfortune, and see if he makes it out alive.
