Caspar looked at Linhardt with a grin. “Why not? Plus, you can use this as a way to take naps in peace. I could use it when I needta train. It’s perfect!”
Sometimes, Linhardt forgot that there were small nuggets of brilliance in Caspar’s mind. With his rough and tumble attitude, Caspar needed to be somewhat smart in order to survive. It doesn’t stop his rash behavior, but that was something to think about another day. “... Alright.” Linhardt held his hand out for Caspar to shake. Caspar took it, and they shook once. “Let’s pretend to date.”

"Even after the war's end, skirmishes continued to break out across Fodlan. Learning that there were still places where he could fight, Felix abandoned his noble title and chose to make a living with his sword. Decades later, he reunited briefly with Sylvain, who had need of his services as Margrave Gautier. Felix departed as soon as the job was finished, however, and the two never met again. Years later, a sword that was thought to have belonged to Felix arrived on Sylvain's doorstep."

Caspar tilted his head questioningly. “What do you mean? He was just a regular bandit, right?”
“Well, probably. But… he seemed to be under some sort of influence.” Caspar raised an eyebrow, looking somewhat skeptical as Linhardt continued. “He had a knife, but when he actually attacked me, he, ah, he bit me.”
After a strange encounter, Linhardt begins experiencing some rather disturbing changes.

He sees it behind his eyelids: the orange sky, set aflame by the dying sun, and how it turns his blue hair golden. He feels it in the skin of his palm: callouses and a firm grip, tugging at him, a plea in their own right. And he hears his voice: desperate and panicked and so uncharacteristic of him that it stings like the burns on his arms.
“Come on, Lin,” Caspar had said, pleaded, “They’ll take us back to the Empire. You know we can’t go back there, not after all this. We can go somewhere else—anywhere else. Please, I don’t want to do this without you.”
In his sweetest dreams, Linhardt would pull him closer, wrap him in his arms and stay there, and he would say, “Okay. We’ll go wherever you want. I don’t know what I would do without you. I’d go anywhere as long as you’re there. I love you. I love you more than you can ever imagine.”
In his memories, Linhardt lets go of his hand, takes a step back, and doesn’t say anything at all.
