In a world almost identical to our own, in the year 1935, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster left National Publications after a brief period working on the company's comic book line. When Timely Comics formed a year earlier than in our timeline, bringing with it a fresh host of creative talent, Siegel and Shuster joined it's ranks. Among themselves, they created/co-created a good many characters for the company. Slam Bradley, The Spectre, Robotman, etc. But their most enduring and indeed first creation, was a character they had had in the works for a very long time. Superman! Champion of the Oppressed. The world's first superhero. Soon, NP would rival the popularity of this larger than life, yet still very grounded character with some of their own such as Batman, Wonder Woman and their greatest asset of all, Captain America! But despite everything, Timely and Superman endured. One way or another. Now a huge factor in the fictional Marvel Universe, this last son of Krypton, who's history was forever altered by this change, is one of the most beloved characters in comics, appearing in all types of media. And so true believers, it is on that media which we base our story. The story of a familiar yet quite altered hero of legend.

Tony is still dealing with the aftermath of the Battle of New York when Steve Rogers shows up at the Tower, which is fine albeit a little confusing. Slowly but surely, Tony is getting his old team back with the bonus of a new enemy out to get him. But like he said, it's fine, he's fine, he's dealing with it.
And then there are the bombings.
