Summary
A month ago Brad had offhandedly mentioned something about a trip to Aruba after the playoffs. Patrice had pondered it in the early morning haze and then promptly dismissed it in favor of a response that only a captain would give. He could have spent that morning fantasizing about a vacation to Aruba with his boyfriend, but instead he opted to act like a hockey player.
Hockey season was over now, though. And it had ended in the way that every team wants to end their season. With a giant lump of silver that had been shaped into the most iconic sports trophy of all time.

They’d been here before. They knew what they were doing. So why the actual fuck were they down 4-1? It was game seven. It was win or go home. And they really, REALLY, didn’t want to go home.

Summary
This was the second time this season Patrice had seen the inside of a hospital. His one trip earlier in the year to pick up Brad had been enough, but now here he was again. This time he wasn’t here to pick anybody up. No, he was here for himself. Well, he was here because he was forced to go.

Summary
The alarm sitting on the nightstand went off and Brad had half a mind to chuck it out the window. He rolled over, pulling the pillow over his head and burrowing under the covers. Next to him, Patrice was sitting up, wiping the sleep from his eyes. He looked over and smiled as he watched Marchy try to disappear and fall back asleep. His smile faded, though, once he noticed the bruise that bloomed from his shoulder down his ribs.

Summary
Game one of round one was sixteen hours away and Brad Marchand could not sleep. Beside him Bergy was blissfully snoring away. Brad had half a mind to smother him with the pillow right there. But then cooler heads prevailed and he got out of bed instead.

Summary
“You gotta calm down,” he said, tightening his grip. “Alright? Listen to me, you gotta keep your head on your shoulders.”
Marchy started to feel himself calm down when Chabot, in his infinite wisdom, tossed a slur at them as he skated by.
“Yeah, fuck you!” Marchy snapped, still under Patrice’s arm.

Summary
Mike Reilly prided himself on being perceptive. He was on the quieter side and didn’t really talk much unless he was being spoken to. That meant he observed. A lot. He saw everything that happened in that locker room. He heard conversations that probably weren’t meant for him to hear. He heard conversations between Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk that he definitely shouldn’t have heard and made him consider cleaning out his ears with bleach.
Of all the conversations he overheard between Charlie and Matt, the one where they probably forgot he was also sitting in the lounge was the one that had him the most confused.

Summary
If you asked Patrice and Brad they would have credited Sidney Crosby with getting them together. It was Crosby who told Patrice about Brad. It was Crosby who had talked Patrice into saying something to Brad. And it was Crosby who had driven a wedge between Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand.

Summary
After nearly a month sidelined from action, Patrice and Brad were back. The Bruins had suffered without them and it showed both on the scoreboard and in the standings. They had lost their first place spot and slid all the way down to third. The silver lining was that they had forty games to reclaim their position at the top of the Atlantic. And with Marchy and Bergy back and the goaltending situation sorted and depth scoring, that, all of a sudden, seemed like it was going to happen sooner rather than later.

Summary
Patrice watched helplessly as Jake Muzzin lit up Brad with a brutal (and dirty) open ice hit. Things moved in slow motion as Brad left his skates and landed on the ice. He slid another three feet before coming to a stop. Patrice didn’t even have to be near him to know he was knocked out cold.
Bergy saw red. His gaze immediately locked in on Muzzin as he was standing over Marchy. Bergy dropped his gloves and his stick and lunged at Muzzin. He connected on almost all of his punches and had Muzzin on his knees on the ice before Muzzin even had the chance to land a punch of his own. Patrice stared Muzzin down as the refs pulled him off the Toronto defenseman.

Summary
Pond hockey was something Brad and Patrice grew up with. Now being able to play it together at one of their childhood homes, it was a big deal. Brad had laced up a pair of Patrice’s old skates that had been in the basement and walked out to the pond, a spare stick of Patrice’s in hand. It was longer than he was used to, but he made it work.

“Wait,” Bergy stopped and turned just before he opened the door. “Do guys like roses?”
Matt thought for a second. He had truly never thought about it. He couldn’t remember a time he had bought Charlie roses and Charlie certainly never brought him roses. Matt thought roses sounded nice. He would have loved to get roses.
“Yes,” Matt answered firmly. “Guys like roses.”

Summary
“So where is Marchy?” Sid asked as he looked around at the bags on display. “I thought he was gonna be joining us today.”
“He’s gonna meet us soon,” Patrice answered. “When I went to get him he was still asleep and I didn’t want to wake him up. Last time I did that I got punched in the jaw.”
“I remember,” Sid chuckled. He weighed his options for a second before speaking again. “Is he still head over heels in love with you?”

Summary
As far as rooming with Bergy… Marchy was dying internally. It was hell. Pure hell. Every night for the past week Brad had to watch as Bergy went about his nightly routine. As he climbed into bed with hair that was still damp from a shower. As he slipped those reading glasses on that nobody besides Marchy knew about and cracked open the book he’d been chipping away at since the season began. As he said ‘Goodnight, Brad’ in a voice that was just a little too gravelly. As he rolled over and fell into a peaceful sleep leaving Brad a tossing and turning mess in the other bed.

Summary
The bartender at the hotel bar kept drinks flowing to Brad all night. It was like he knew he was trying to drink something six feet under. No matter how many drinks Marchy had, it didn't work. In fact, with every single drink - with every single sip - Bergy became the forefront of all of Brad’s thoughts. Even the ones Brad didn’t think had anything to do with Patrice. He somehow found his way into all the ideas and thoughts produced by Brad’s mind. It was hell.

Summary
“I don’t see what this has to do with you helping me pick out what clothes to wear tonight,” Brad said, looking up at Pasta. He just gave him a look. Brad stared back, not yet wanting to tell the truth because if he told the truth then that meant it was real.
“Brad I’m already pretty sure I know so why not just say it,” David said. Brad took comfort in the fact that his teammate didn’t sound like he was going to beat the shit out of him. He wasn’t sure why he even had that thought in the first place, he guessed it was just something that was always lingering in the back of his mind.
