She was practically a seeress, if there were such a thing. Her words echo as one of many constant reminders and unwanted mental pop-ups of memories that don’t feel like going away no matter how I attempt to drain them with experiments and cocaine and alcohol (I already drank through what was in the flat, John’s whiskey being one of the many things he had forgotten and left behind). The cocaine is all that sustains me now as I leave experiments and food and Everything unattended to and rotting in favor of mentally spinning myself pleasant lies and battling memories of unpleasant truths."
