After Alice is taken in by the Red Queen as a protege, Alice discovers that much of the gossip about the Red Queen has been deliberately inflated to cast her position in doubt. Yes, the Red Queen is hard around the edges, but actually many of her negative traits have been overblown by her sister, in a desperate attempt to stir up greater conflict and restore the previous order. Alice knows what it's like to be the subject of gossip.

..Soul marks are common knowledge, vampires are not. A magically touched Darcy Lewis must navigate her new life living among the most dangerous people on the planet who happen to also be the blood sucking undead. Dealing with information she didn't want, and shouldn't know isn't half the problem, though.
Two of those fanged fiends are her soulmates.
