Ed and Stede are beautifully different, but they love so much that they fit just right. Only, Ed's just a little softer around the middle than he used to be, and he's not sure if that will fit for Stede.

Summary
1717. The Widow Bonnet has just buried her husband. For the second time.
Instead of wallowing in her grief, the widow closes the chapter of her life centered around Stede and embraces her own freedom and peace.
Things do not go as planned.
Or
Following Stede’s ‘demise,’ Mary receives increasingly strange and unwelcomed guests.
*
"Mary wasn’t sure, precisely, what had awoken her in the middle of the night. Perhaps it was the fog of tobacco smoke enveloping her bed. Or the crinkle of leather hunting for a more comfortable position in its seat, followed by the sound of bootheels coming to rest on the small table beside her head. Or maybe, perhaps, it was the steady chipping away of the wood on said table, as the phantom in her bedroom casually tossed a knife into her furniture, plucked it out, and tossed it again."

Summary
The Revenge wasn’t a large ship but it was strikingly easy to avoid someone if you didn’t want to see them. Blind corners. Dark alcoves. Secret passageways.
Stede would catch a flash of black leather and silvered hair but by the time he opened his mouth to hail or raised a hand, Ed was gone again. They were never alone together.
In front of the others, Ed was polite. Ed was correct. Ed was even kind, in a distant sort of way. He greeted Stede on the quarterdeck with good morning and dismissed him with good night.
He smiled. He spoke evenly and calmly.
Stede thought if it kept up even one more hour, he was going to stab someone.

Summary
Of all of these changes, what startled Ed the most were Stede's eyes. His eyes were like anchors, sunken and stressed beyond belief- and focused entirely on Ed.
He looked so deadly serious that it temporarily took him off guard.
Ed wanted with all of his being to run over to Stede, to kiss him and cry in his arms with joy and relief, and then it hit him:
You left me. You left me. You promised and you left me. You fuckin bastard.or: Picking up from the end of season 1, Ed and Stede reunite. Both need to make amends- and learn how to love each other again.

Summary
“Well, that’s that, then. I know he’s your friend, Ed, but he was a toxic influence on the crew. And on you as well,” Stede declared.
Something about those words stung Ed just a little. He wasn’t not-not himself with Jack. It was just that being around him seemed to bring out the part of him that enjoyed giving and receiving pain. Cut your finger and you’ll forget about your chronic headache, if only for a little while.
But slowly, Stede was showing him that a moment of warmth and connection could be just as distracting.
------
This story begins assuming Calico Jack left the Revenge, Ed stayed, and there was no betrayal. How would the slow burn of Ed and Stede's relationship have carried on? How long would it take for them to realize their feelings for each other in the absence of life-changing events? Some relationship angst, some sweet, soft moments, some jealousy, and some action as well!
Includes two original characters: an old friend of Stede's named Declan (headcannoned to Jemaine Clement) and Captain Robert Greaves (Idris Elba), an old colleague of Ed's. Declan brings the jealousy. Greaves brings the ghosts of Ed's past.

Summary
Ed swallowed, choking back more tears. He snuggled closer to Stede, as if he was trying to make himself as small as possible.

Summary
It's Ivan who speaks first, “We should’ve opened fire on them when we had the chance.” He grumbles, raising one hand to trace over the crooked curve of his nose, “The bloody bastards can’t even tell the difference between an island and a forest. It’s a miracle they haven’t blown themselves up yet.”
Silence. Then, Fang blurts, “Your disappearance is going to hurt him.”
For a second, Fang seems visibly worried that Izzy is going to grab onto his beard and pull, reminding him in no uncertain terms that it’s not his job to think about such things. Instead, Izzy just shakes his head, focusing his gaze on the horizon… where the Revenge is growing smaller and smaller by the second. “He has Stede Bonnet and his little crew of wannabe pirates… He doesn’t need me.”
--
In which Ed and Izzy's fight over Stede and Ed switching clothes results in Izzy leaving... and inadvertently bringing Ivan and Fang along with him. Ed does not take well to his husband abandoning him. Izzy does not take well to his husband carelessly leading all of their men to slaughter. Stede watches a blood-soaked love story evolve in front of his eyes.
Otherwise known as a retelling of episode 4.

Summary
Stede fucks him exactly once and Ed feels fucking wild with it the next day. So desperate to have him again he can barely think, and as nervous and excited as the moments after the first time they'd kissed.
And, given how that wound up going, all the more anxious about losing him.

Summary
Blackbeard is dying.
He knows that much, a pretty nasty running through during an ambush he was embarrassingly drunk and unprepared for.
He didn't know, however, why he had appeared here. Stede Bonnet was dead, had been for a month (maybe two, time meant less and less to him these days). Part of him figured it was a hallucination from the combination blood loss and copius amounts of shitty rum in his system running a toll on his brain. It seemed like a last hurrah, seeing Stede for the last time. Although he thought their post death afterlife reunion — if the universe was kind enough for that sort of thing, even if in Eds mind it never was (not that he'd ever admit to wanting nothing more then to see him just once again) — would be more joyous, more peaceful as he floated towards the light, instead he got this:
"Jesus Christ Edward what have you gotten yourself into now,"
Nary a moment later Edward Teach lost conciousness.
