    Summary

It was fortunate that Crowley happened to be there when she called. Crowley thought of it as blind luck, though he knew that Aziraphale considered such things acts of God.
or, Aziraphale receives a message he simply can't ignore.

    Summary

Aziraphale finally managed to send away Sergeant Shadwell from his bookshop: now he only had to call Crowley and stop the Apocalypse.
But things never go as planned for him.

Canon Divergence: what if the fire at the bookshop was actually Hellfire?

    Summary

Perhaps, there were no cards in this game of existence that had yet to be overturned. Each hand not so perfectly placed, and yet losers preached their luck in shouts of crowns and snake tongues. They had come to the end, where elements of earth lay only in the deal of Eden.

And, perhaps, just maybe, fire could be comforting, a force against rain when that rain changed from pleasant to chilling.

    Summary

As published in The Ineffable Con 2 Zine. A oneshot of sorts of what Aziraphale did after the little lockdown post-episode. Can definitely be read as a very belated contribution to AngelWYD and a prequel to my dialogue-only fanfic “I Set My Alarm for…October???”. It’s somewhat sad, since the angel got a bit depressed, being all on his own. He never expected Crowley to actually do what he said and not come over – and now, he has to live with the consequences. Heavily influenced (as the title may suggest) by the song “Spending My Time” by Roxette.

It was a nice, peaceful day at the bookshop, when a sudden call interrupts Aziraphale's relaxing day. It's Warlock, and Aziraphale is quite pleased to hear from him, but turns out the poor boy has some pressing questions and trusts his gardener to answer them.

    Summary

Did the existence always have such an outstanding color? At least the angel of the Eastern Gate thought that in the beginning everything around him was slate-black, motionless, and miserable. After a while he started to distinguish the tiniest shades of newborn cities, landscapes and even living creatures in order either not to die of boredom or to hide desperately from his thoughts and the constant questions: does he belong to Heaven with all his heart for real? What is better: to live for millennia under the iron cover or to be a sharp, passionate burning in the sky?

Do all the questions need to be answered?

    Summary

The blizzard of January 1881 was one of the worst blizzards to hit the UK. During this time, Aziraphale finds himself desperately trying to keep Crowley from freezing to discorporation, but there's only so much one angel can take before breaking down.

    Summary

You might wonder why Aziraphale can't seem to enjoy his retirement in peace. You could ascribe his distress to the series of terrifying thoughts that haunt his days, or the only book he wishes he'd never read, or even the wound that still hurts after six thousand years.

Really, though, you should blame the fact he's never learned to talk about his feelings.

    Summary

If Aziraphale was to be described by certain members of the angelic Host in metaphorical terms, they might say that he was trying to paint a masterpiece but colouring in all the wrong bits. Being stationed on Earth does not help matters. Aziraphale always tries to do right by God; over six thousand years he must learn what it means to be himself.

    Or:

Another navel-gaze-y look at Aziraphale over the millennia and how he comes to choose (or not choose) a side of the fence.

    Summary

Aziraphale is having a terrible, horrible, very bad, not good day. Three customers had gotten away with buying his books, he is out of tea, his wings itch, and Crowley isn’t answering his phone.

But the worst of it is he can’t perform any miracles to fix a single one of these problems. The ability is there, of course, but every time he reaches out to snap his fingers or wave his hand, his stomach ties itself into knots and leaves him feeling nauseous.

    Summary

Aziraphale finds himself obliged to spend a week in London.

    It's been a while.

A free afternoon in London. That’s a rare gift. And on a weekday, too, when everything will be quiet. He’ll have hours to himself, private and uninterrupted. The perfect time to do some of the things he daydreams about now and then, back in the cottage.

    ‘Bugger,’ he says, out loud.
