Summary
When Tenebrae fell at the hands of the Empire seventeen years ago, Prince Noctis was lost to his father and his kingdom, and declared dead a short time later. Amidst the rubble of the Oracle's homeland, Chancellor Ardyn Izunia spirited the boy away to Gralea to be remade as a means for his revenge against the gods: A weapon of war, and inheritor to the Starscourge plaguing Eos.
Now, with King Regis' health rapidly declining, and Emperor Aldercapt on edge in the war against Lucis, Noctis' time is nigh, and he must make a choice.
(Distant sequel to "At His Right Hand.")

It all happens so quickly.
One minute, Cor is standing at the back wall of the room watching over the queen while she mingles with the event organisers and makes small-talk about their charity, and the next, he’s kneeling next to her prone form, his blood-covered hands shaking as he leans forwards to check for a pulse.

Summary
Many years had passed since the sun rose again. Ignis, Gladio and Prompto were reborn with vague memories and met up in every life. The only gift the gods granted them with. Except Noctis. He hadn’t been reborn at all. His soul was the price they had to pay to make the sun rise again, after all. So it was lost. The three made peace with it after a long period of grief and held their dear prince in their memories.
Until this century. Something was different. They could all feel it when they first met up in this life. Noctis was out there too. His old magic hums in their veins, inaccessible yet comforting. It felt more intense the closer they were to him. That’s how they ended up here, in Insomnia once again to find their missing piece.

Summary
Prompto has suffered through emotional and physical abuse at the hands of his biological father and adoptive parents, the Argentums, until Cor Leonis takes him in and formally adopts him. Finally in a safe space, Prompto can start to recover from the years of abuse, but one of the lasting effects is selective mutism, rendering him unable to speak in anxiety-invoking situations. Encouraged by the king of Lucis, Regis, Cor decides that it's time to send Prompto to the private school in Insomnia to learn how to interact with others his age.
Meanwhile, Noctis is the prince of Lucis, thoroughly spoiled after an accident that left him scarred, both physically and emotionally. Like Prompto he is selectively mute, although he is further along in his recovery than Prompto is. His father doesn't mind that his son is pansexual, especially when Noctis reveals that he is dating prince Ravus of Tenebrae. However, Noctis quickly realizes that he is in over his head and may need help to get out before he ends up more wounded than before.
A modern prince/high school AU that focuses on recovery from trauma and found family! -

Summary
They were Observers; watching over but never interfering.
The world was destroyed, time and time again, and even with the sacrifice of the Chosen King there was little more left than ruins and a handful of people lucky enough to have survived.
It was time for things to change. They would no longer sit back, watching the mortals take the punishment for what was just as much their fault to start with. There was a better ending, somewhere in all the chaos that followed, and they would find it no matter how long it took. After all they, of every creature on their planet, had all the Time in the world.
