5 Works in Arstan Selmy
I have to blame professional television show runners and their failure to wrap up a TV series for me trying my own hand at it - and fan fiction.
I started my first fan fiction ever right after GOT wrapped up in May 2019, after years of concentrating on original fiction. That resulted in my first piece, The Reunion of the Pack (check my profile for that). It was an epilogue for the series that managed to resolve most of the horrific issues with season 8 after the fact. However, I felt like a whole redo of the season like I saw other writers doing was needed.
This is going to be a straight redo of Season 8. There is a mix of television and book material here, and a limited amount of retconning (I won’t be able to totally fix the Dorne storyline), plus a sprinkling of original characters I think fit into the world of Westeros and Essos.
What you’ll find: Action, romance, humor, and an eventual ending that feels right.
What you’ll hopefully not find: an illogical plot or characters acting in ways that don’t make sense.
I hope you enjoy the ride.

This is Gendry's POV on the same story as "That's Not Me" (Part 1, Arya's POV):
Gendry is Robert's and Cersei's trueborn son and heir to the throne. Arryn died of a natural cause. Robert never came to Winterfell. Eddard became the new Hand, and Catelyn saw a matchmaking opportunity. Hence, Sansa accompanied her father to King's Landing. Then half a year later, Cat drags Arya to court, in hope to finally turn her into a proper lady and to find her a suitable match, too. But Arya has other plans, she isn't interested in any suitors. Nevertheless, Gendry prefers her over of her perfect older sister. And so the real trouble for Catelyn Tully begins ...
NEXT UPDATE: chapter 6 probably won't come before 2020.
HAS THIS STORY A HAPPY END?
In my comment #1 under chapter 1 "The Threat", I just say YES or NO, without spoiling anything else. But if you want Arya to become Gendry's queen, this is no story for you. So, just to be absolutely clear:

A sequel to Dorne with Arianne. Written in script format with the assumption that these would be the scripts from which these scenes would be shot for Season Six.
As Dorne prepares to fight for its independence, Meereen receives a new arrival, and the intrigue in King's Landing intensifies.
Episode Eight: Arya confronts herself. Tommen receives an unexpected visitor. Arianne takes a risky gamble to escape Storm's End. Trystane faces the dragons with nothing left to lose. Edric steps up to the role demanded of him.

Stannis Baratheon was the first son of Lord Steffon Baratheon and his wife Cassana Estermont. After his betrothal with the Lady Lyanna Stark abruptly ended - in not the best of ways - the Crown Prince as well as Lord Stark and Lord Tully proposed he marry the Tully bride that had been promised to the Stark heir, as a hopeful way to make amends. In the fifth year of their marriage, Lady Lysa Baratheon died quite suddenly, after only giving him one daughter.
Everything from then on became a matter for the History books...
... that is until the Gods decide to change his destiny with a small twist of fate.

In this story, I will give three minor characters the chance to shine.
In the North, the recently legitimized Lord Larence Hornwood seeks to capitalize on his House’s loyalty to the newly crowned Jon Snow.
In the Stormlands, Lord Arstan Selmy of Harvest Hall must bury his great-uncle Barristan, whose bones have been returned by Daenerys Targaryen.
And in the Iron Islands, Lady Barba Stonehouse must fend off her cousins’ claims on her lands, and weigh whether to side with the deadly Euron Greyjoy.
