Summary
Bilbo Baggins was strange.
This was a fact universally acknowledged by all Hobbits.
He was a peculiar being. He had no desire to settle down and start a family, he kept either strange company or none at all, he disappeared for over a year and came back with ridiculous stories of dragons and trolls and elves under a mountain.
Yes, Bilbo Baggins was an oddity.
The Hobbits couldn’t help but be fond of him, though.
He was strange, which they frowned upon, but he was kind.
It was because of this kind nature that when he returned from a long walk in the forest with a baby elf (which he himself seemed very baffled about) swaddled in his arms, that instead of scorning him or mistrusting him, the Hobbits of Hobbiton helped him raise the young one - as he surely couldn’t do it alone!
(In which Bilbo adopts an elfling, the elves lose their shit, Galadriel girl bosses, Elladora finds happiness at last, Glorfindel is glorious as ever, Maglor is so done with them all, chaos ensues)

Summary
Ever since she was a kid, Eleanor has had the same recurring dream, where she finds herself wandering along an enormous and ancient mountain hall, filled with echoes of songs sung in even more ancient tongues.
In these dreams, she befriends a young dwarrow prince who struggles to sleep while his father is away. One night, a teenaged Eleanor finds herself in that mountain hall just before it is attacked by an enormous dragon and the young dwarrow prince finds himself on the run.
Years pass, and Eleanor thinks she’s outgrown those strange dreams, except one night when she finds herself, not in a mountain, but in the home (or more specifically the fireplace) of a Mr Bilbo Baggins of Bag End. Except this time, Eleanor isn’t so sure it’s a dream at all.

Summary
How would The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings characters lives be in a modern human setting?
Kíli does not know what he wants to do after university. He starts to work at Café Bree and his family encourages him to accept an invitation from Lothlórien Shooting Academy. He thrives at the Academy as his eye falls on a certain red haired lady, Tauriel Greenwood. But while the two young adults are attracted towards each other, their families who run the Oakenshield Company and the Mirkwood Estate don't always agree with their relationship. Meanwhile war is rumbling on the edges of Mordor and Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli join the fight. Everyone will have to work together to keep the evil. Smaug and Azog linger in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike... Main focus will be on Kiliel but with subplots as well with Arwen and Aragorn, Éowyn and Faramir etc. After a hiatus in 2018, back to posting regularly :) -

“Give me your hand!”
They were struggling for the Ring, Frodo and Gollum, blinded by the madness of it driven into them like spikes in a railway track; at the edge of the stone Sam could see them through a strong haze clouding in front of his eyes.
“Take my hand!”
Sam stretched his arm farther down, closer, closer; Frodo reached up for him with all the effort he could, but his hand, slick with blood from his wound, could not grip Sam’s fingers. The mountain gave a great rumble, causing a cascade of rocks to tumble from the ledge where Frodo held on: his gaze followed them down in their fall to the lava below.
“Don’t you let go.”
Frodo’s eyes held to Sam’s, and Sam felt his heart shatter. Those blue eyes once felt like home to him were now more foreign than this terrible mountain. The burden his lover had borne for so long, slowly crushing him from the inside out, had found its home in both the molten rock and the eyes of its bearer, tossing Sam’s love to the curb and burying brokenness in its place.
“Don’t let go.”
The mountain rumbled again. Through the thundering of stones and the hissing of lava, Sam heard Frodo say in a ragged voice:
“I love you.”

Fourth Age Gondor. Súldil is haunted by memories of war…and his landlord’s demands for rent. In the market, he collides with a girl fleeing kidnappers and foolishly decides to stage a rescue.
Then the girl’s uncle hires Súldil to investigate a theft from the royal treasury, and Súldil uncovers a treasonous conspiracy to overthrow King Aragorn. The case leads him from the alleys of Minas Tirith to the mithril mines of Eriador. (Not exactly his idea of a fun holiday.) Worst of all, Aragorn's eldest daughter has taken a special interest in provoking Súldil at every opportunity.
An irreverent story of courtly politics, unconventional princesses, overbearing parents, enemies, lovers…and enemies-to-lovers.
