Mortals don't worship her, Gods don't invite her to their mundane events, and all in all it would be fine for her. Or at least this is what she thinks.
Everything changes when at a conference she meets Hades, God of the dead. His too is a heavy baggage: three hundred thousand years of age, seven feet tall, at least twenty titles on his name. But he's also the only one understaning Persephone's passion for law subjects, as well as the only one who seems uncomfortable among the other deities as much as her. How couldn't they get along?
They find themselves intertwining their destinies and working together to issue a controversial judgement, collaborating in a trial of souls in the court of the Underworld. And so, halfway between irony and seriousness, fairness and rigor, life and death, this is the (semi) modern reinterpretation of a myth that has never stopped being told.Series

Lexa had taken an extensive interest in her father's profession at a young age and started training with the fierce warriors. Female Gladiators were people that were of an extreme rarity but they fought in the Colosseum with men as their equals.

After the war, she decided that Polis had nothing more to offer her now that she had lost everything she had ever loved. In her grief, Lexa and her best friend Octavia set out to Rome to fight in the Colosseum and Lexa feels if death befalls her, it would not matter.
The Emperor meets Alexandria personally after a match in the arena, and it seems like the perfect opportunity to set Alexandria in his daughter Clarke Gryphem's personal guard.
However, upon meeting Clarke Gryphem, Lexa is absolutely blown away by her Empress' beauty. She continues to fight in the Colosseum to free her mind of her demons, but her Empress clouds her mind and she now fights to live.

After I wrote my initial Apollo and Cyrene fic, I did a little bit more of digging and reading around. Turns out Cyrene also had a passionate romance with Ares as well and they had a kid too, the famed King Diomedes.
Also, I wanted to show Ares a bit more love. He's underrated AF in mythology and in some romance stories. -

Summary
I'm currently rewriting an old fanfic, that I don't quite like anymore. I have changed some stuff both in the plot and in my characters, so I'm rewriting this whole damn thing.
Ares and Athena start out hating each other, but circumstances force them to grow together over a long time frame.
But they are immortal gods, who have all time of the Kosmos.
And as they slowly learn to actually know and understand each other, they grow closer to each other, until they are able to form a deep bond between their souls.
Before Athena knows what's happening, she realises, that love doesn't need to be physical.
Also the Olympians being protective and a tight-knit family, when push comes to shove.
