[this is a companion book for A New Home. You don’t necessarily have to read that to understand this story, but it does give some context for certain parts.]
In the months following the Darkiplier Incident, as Mark has come to call it, the YouTuber realizes he’s been getting so caught up with work that he’s all but forgotten the people around him.
Namely, Ethan.
What starts off as a silly video idea aimed at helping the two YouTubers reconnect quickly turns into an awkward mess of emotions.
Ethan doesn’t want to ruin his friendship with Mark, but he’s beginning to think his feelings for the man are a little more than platonic.
A misinterpreted gesture during the filming of a video turns into a kiss caught on camera. Chaos ensues and suddenly Ethan is terrified of losing his best friend.
How do the two YouTubers go on from there? Is their friendship salvageable?
