**GENERAL SPOILER WARNING** "Memories of Kingdom Hearts," an alternate timeline (or not?) that keeps as close to the canonical story as possible, will span the entire Kingdom Hearts series and focuses on the love and connection between its two male protagonists -- Sora and Riku. Chapter 1 starts as the events of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep unfold when Sora and Riku are four and five respectively, and Kairi makes her appearance at the onset of Chapter 2. The beginning chapters center heavily on the homophobic, cultish social environment of Destiny Islands controlled by the tyrannical Mayor Richard White who preaches backwards visions of Light and Darkness and uses Kairi to promote his agenda. Other prominent characters include Riku's single mother, Perdita Nageru, Sora's parents, Caroline and D'arcy Hikari, and many of the Mayor's "apprentices". Furthermore, Sora and Riku's ages are raised to eighteen and nineteen following the time jump. Eventually, the story moves on to the events of Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III, with an emphasis on and additions to scenes between Sora and Riku.
