Dick slowly stood and its head jerked to follow the motion. He stepped forward until he was almost chest to chest with it. He knew it was a stupid thing to do—he was unarmored and unarmed, but he felt sure that it wasn't here to hurt him. It didn't flinch away or reach for its weapons when he approached. This close he could see that it was trembling. He reached up, telegraphing his movements, and gently gripped the hood's fabric. He paused, giving plenty of time for the Talon to pull away, but it didn't.
He lifted the hood.

As the Court of Owls prepared to take back the city of Gotham, the question of what to do with Bruce Wayne was raised. Thomas Wayne Jr. was already theirs. Nearly all of them believed that Bruce was an unneeded spare. The Kent family, however, disagreed. The Court had spent generations working their way into both the heart of the city and its many Wayne buildings. It was only natural, Clark believed, for them to finally claim the Wayne bloodline for their own.

They had gone to a new ice cream parlor, opting to eat it on some shabby rooftop to watch everything turn pink to midnight blue and the busy rush of frantic people going home after a long day of work sprawled underneath them.
“Bruce said electrum changes the colour of my eyes,” Dick had suddenly said into his melting ice cream, face illuminated by the soft orange sunset that highlighted the skyscrapers of an ever-evolving Gotham. He sounded… sad and solemn, but with a confusing underlay of relief and calmness.

Batman, still desperate to find the little Dick Grayson who vanished after seeing his family murdered before his very eyes, stumbles across Talon three years later.Talon becomes Dick Grayson once more and sores across the skies as Robin. He makes friends for life and is Bruce’s only light in life.
Jason Todd never touches the Batmobile’s wheels, Tim Drake’s father is never murdered, Stephanie Brown lives with her perfectly sane grandparents, Barbara Gordon lives with her mother- far away from her commissioner father, Damian Al-Ghul is the upcoming League of Assassins heir, Cassandra Cain, his trusty right-hand and Dick…well…Dick had other plans for fate.
Because this Dick Grayson remembered his past life- if only vaguely- and is going to change the fate that had been written for him.
Starting off…by finding his siblings again.

There's something familiar about the last captured small Talon that Bruce can't quite place, something about the way it moves seems morbidly strange.
And then Tim manages to knock off the mask that the Talon wears, an impossibly familiar face that they thought they'd never see again smirks back at them.
And then Dick shrieks.
"Why does it look exactly like me?"
And the Talon frowns, looking incredibly offended - which an expression that eerily mirrors Dick's younger face.
"I don't know - maybe because, I am you?"
"She's not lying," Cass confirms.
The whole Batcave exploded into chaos.
"BUT YOU'RE A GIRL!" Dick spluttered but at that point, nobody was really listening anymore.
