Harry was finally, months after being tossed eighty-five years into the past, starting to settle into his new life and routine.
Too bad that just as things were starting to settle for him personally, events started to kick-up globally that he knew were only ticking down to the outbreak of war, leaving him scrambling to do everything he reasonably could think of to try and mitigate the damage - even if it meant taking steps that a year ago he never would've considered let alone predicted.

Harry by now should know better than to touch things that he'd been assured were harmless.
Too bad that circumstances aligned to give him no other choice, resulting in him and his godson being tossed back nearly a century into the past leaving him with a significant choice to make: did he keep his head down and try and avoid changing the future?
Or did he take a very deliberate step off of the pre-worn path and see if a few changes - just here or there - could create a better future for everyone, including him.

“Mr. Graves,” the nurse beseeched as she finally reached them, “You can’t just leave the hospital ward. It will take time for the effects of Grindelwald’s heat spell to wear off even with the antidote. You’ll be in heat for another three days at least.” She paused knowing that Graves would not like her next words. “Right now you are incredibly vulnerable. If you don’t have or want a mate then you’ll be safer in the hospital.”
“Scamander won’t take advantage,” Graves was very sure of his words, as sure as a slightly delirious man could be. The nurse regarded Newt dubiously.
“Um... I wouldn’t, actually.” He stumbled as Graves tugged him closer and hugged his arm tightly.

Percival Graves does not often panic. In fact, it would be said by many of his aurors that he never panics. He’s faced down criminals who had no qualms about maiming him, survived a war which by all reckoning should have killed him, and this is what gets to him? No, he needs to calm down. His heart is hammering, breathing rapid - he stumbles, steadying himself against the wall of the corridor.
“Mr Graves?”
Percival turns at the sound of his name, swaying on the spot. A hand grips his shoulder. He looks up at green eyes and red hair, freckles dotting a face creased with concern.
“Scamander,” he rasps out. “Doctor, I need a doctor.”
Newt keeps him upright, but he doesn’t move. “You’re in heat,” he says, and it’s not a question.
