A sequel to the episode "One Strobe Over The Line June 15, 1965" (season 3, episode 4) where Sam saves the life of Edie Landsdale. He encourages her to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. In this sequel, she goes home, becomes a vet, and joins a practice in Elk Ridge, Indiana, where she meets 16 year old Sam Beckett and his cat Blitzen in 1970.
Years later, after Sam has finally leaped home, he remembers the encounter when he was 16. Al is there to yank his chain.
Even though this is a sequel, it can be read without having seen the television episode.
