Shinsou Hitoshi had always loved water in all of its forms, his skin got dry annoyingly fast, he got dehydrated faster then most people, and he loved any food from the sea, but he simply thought that those were just some of the quirks of being him. He never realized he was something more then human until his inhuman DNA kicked in and his health started rapidly deteriorating.
At least someone understood what was happening and brought him to the ocean before he died, even if it was technically kidnapping and now his entire family thinks he’s dead and want to murder his savior.

If you asked, Izuku would say nobody truly knew him, and therefore he didn't give a flying fuck about anyone's opinion. Nobody knew that he skated across rooftops in the dead of night, or how he tinkered as a hobby, or how he loved stargazing, and could name constellations at the drop of a hat and that his biggest fear was some ungodly combination of thunderstorms and fire. That his favorite pet was a cat, or that he had a habit of mumbling while his mind raced, that he cried during sad movies, or how his language consisted of sarcasm, dark jokes, vines, and the occasional self-depreciation. That, despite what many thought, he was content with the quirkless title, and despite all the bullying, suicide baiting, and torment he had gone through, he still believed that everyone deserved to be saved. He had seen things that most wouldn't even be able to stomach, and he would be damned if he let anyone else experience anything similar.
So, when he was told, "I'm sorry young man, but someone quirkless cannot become a hero."
He couldn't resist the urge to laugh.
Or, in which Izuku is schizophrenic, owns his own cafe, with a vigilante side job, and Aizawa needs to learn to stop adopting strays.
