"You think I should start leaving T-shirts with the newly resurrected victims that say: "I Can't Believe That I'm Not Dead!" on them, with our contact info on the back, so they can pay for revival fees?"
Lu Guang swiped the empty container from him with a roll of his eyes. "Your originality is getting soggy."
"Not like that man's body on the riverbank though," Xiaoshi immediately shot back.
A disgusted shiver rolled through both of them.

Though she didn't realize it at the time, Emma's life was irrevocably intertwined with Liu Min's the moment she entered his car with him. Emma is still struggling to regain her footing in life six months after the incident when Liu Min suddenly reappears, and though he still repulses her, he's also no longer the tall, swaggering young man who tried to kill her. Now that Liu Min is in the most literal of senses unable to chase after her, Emma struggles to accept her own misplaced love and guilt, and the fact that she just might not want to run away from the person she thought was her biggest fear.
