Summary
Dean Winchester’s college years felt like the greatest of his life: School came easy, he was the starting first baseman for the KU Jayhawks and he was in love with the smartest, nerdiest, hottest guy in school, who also happened to be his roommate. They were the definition of Relationship Goals. Until they weren't. Until Cas left.
If you asked Castiel Novak why he was back in Lawrence after 10 years, he'd tell you it was because of a great job opportunity. If you knew Castiel, you'd know it was because of Dean Winchester. But Dean had moved on, successfully running his bar, brewing his own beer, tattooed and still the most gorgeous man Castiel had ever laid eyes on. Oh and? He was taken.
Dean wants to, but forgiving Cas isn't easy, and finding their way back to each other after all this time is like searching for a hand in the dark. Sometimes, ten years is ten years too late.

Summary
“If you had chosen—differently, I was considering going back to New York.” He half expects Dean to jump out of bed in shock but he's pleasantly surprised when all he does is lace their fingers together and kiss Castiel’s knuckles one by one, leaving a long, lingering kiss on the finger wearing his ring.
“You're not freaking out.”
“No. I am, a little.” Dean grips his hand harder. “But I'm also reminding myself that you're here, that we're home. You're not going anywhere.”
Picking up right at the end of Closing Time, Dean and Cas are in for a surprise, and they have Balthazar to thank. Jokes on everyone else because these two have a surprise of their own to share.

Summary
“Stop checking out Charlie’s ass and hand me the damn lights, it’s freezing up here!” Dean snaps his fingers a few times, prompting Jo to drag her eyes away from her girlfriend and turn them on him with a glare.
“Don’t hate, Dean, appreciate!” Charlie gives her butt a little shake as she reaches up to finish pinning the garland to the front porch railing.
Dean rolls his eyes. He’s been on his ladder hanging Christmas lights for the better part of two hours and he’s officially Over It and ready for a drink. He can see Jo gearing up for a rant and as he mentally prepares his rebuttal, he’s distracted by the sound of wheels on gravel as Cas’ truck pulls up to the house.
Cas’ smile washes away his irritation and he grins back before climbing down the ladder. It's their first Christmas back together and Cas thinks he has a lot to make up for. Dean just wants to do everything he can to make Cas smile. A little funny, a little angsty, and a whole lot of fluff; a Christmas Timestamp for Closing Time.

Castiel has been spending countless hours at work and at home sifting through the admissions and he’s tired. Add to that the frustration that Dean has been equally busy, driving to Overland Park multiple times a week with Sam to meet with the contractor. Once spring arrives, they’ll be breaking ground on the brewery and as exciting as that is, Castiel misses his fiance.

He pulls up to the house, intent on making time this weekend to spend with Dean. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and they haven’t even discussed what they want to do. Castiel is thrilled to see the Impala parked in the driveway; it’s the first time in weeks Dean’s been home when Castiel has arrived. It's the new year and Dean and Cas are buried in work. What better way to reconnect than a weekend alone and Valentine's Day? A Valentine's Day timestamp for Closing Time.
