Summary
With Amon exposed, the threat of the Equalists has been temporarily neutralized. But what happens now? The Council proved its ineffectiveness, and there are major societal issues surrounding the treatment of nonbenders.
This fic follows Tenzin, Asami, and Raiko during the 6th months in between Books 1 and 2. Tenzin is tasked with setting up a new form of government, complete with elections. Raiko makes a run at the newly established office of the presidency, but quickly learns what politics requires. Asami, still wounded from the aftermath of her battle with her father, learns that Future Industries is suddenly hers. And against the backdrop of new, political frenzy, an International Military Tribunal has been appointed to try the high-ranking Equalists--Hiroshi included.

Summary
Asami always considered herself as a mechanic of sorts. If something was broken, she could fix it. After two years of no contact, Korra finally writes her, and only her, a letter. In it, she describes that part of her is broken. Maybe it was the whiskey, or the shock of Korra's vulnerability, but Asami decides that she's going to fix everything. Well, try anyway.

Summary
Self-defense was always a misnomer. For Asami, 'counter and overwhelm' is a far more accurate summation. When her front door explodes, again, from a barrage of firebending, again, Asami is elated. The triads are invading her home. Again. It's a twisted kind of wish fulfillment, but she doesn't care. Last time, she was a helpless little girl. This time, she'll make them pay.

Summary
On her journey through the Earth Kingdom, Korra finds herself lost in the desert without any water. At some point, Katara had told her something about water being found in the cacti of the Si Wong. The specifics elude her, so she just decides to boil away anything that might be poisonous before drinking it. Everything was going pretty well until Asami appeared out of thin air.

Summary
A lot can change in two weeks. Empires can fall, parents can be murdered by giant mechs, and love can almost certainly bloom. Of course, just because something can change doesn't mean anyone would want it to.
Except for the last part. What could go wrong with love?

Summary
Asami Sato can say no. She can refuse to believe that the world is on the edge of something beyond terror and comprehension. She can reject the possibility that grieving for the death of her father is necessary, as he was already dead to her once before. She can close your eyes, cover her ears and convince herself that everything is fine. That she's fine. Through grinding teeth and a belly full of rage, she's fine.
All of these problems, these impossible problems with no solution that involve science humanity was never meant to understand, are manageable. Spirit weapons are a terrifying threat, yes, and the fuel for them literally grows on trees, but she can fix it.
She's Asami Sato, the Engineer. She can fix anything.
It's in her blood.
