We're A Little Broken, But We're Still Family

“I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to go to the doctor with you, sunshine. I wanted to be there with you when they took off the bandages, holding your hand. I’ve missed your beautiful face so much.” He crooned gently, his voice low and soothing.
Shouta sniffled, before croaking out, “B~Broken. Bad omega.” A pause, “Defective. Imperfect. Broken.”
“Hey, hey, hey now… what’s with the self-deprecation? You’re perfect. There’s nothing broken or defective about you.”
“I can’t have any more pups!” He snapped, before dissolving into a fit of sobs.

"And where the hell do you think that you're going?" He said, his voice scarce above a whisper so as not to disturb the two sleeping kids. Hizashi was straining to hear him.
The voice hero was more than a little confused. Mid-day naps weren't really his thing, he had too much energy and caffeine pumping through his veins to turn his brain off at such an unusual hour. Ordinarily, he'd use the time that the rest of his family was resting to work on grading or to prep material for his radio show... "Um...to the office, if that's okay?"
Shouta, now wide-awake, rolled his eyes and sighed heavily. "You know...cuddling is a great bonding experience for pups. It gets them used to their alpha parent's scent and causes them to associate it with safety and shelter." He inclined his head toward Shinsou, "He never had an alpha he could rely on before. He's about a year away from presenting and could really use a role model."

Himei didn’t like her new baby sister.
She knew that it wasn’t Eri’s fault, that her dads just wanted to give the little girl a ‘normal’ childhood. Well, as normal as it could be, given the circumstances. But lately, that translated to devoting every waking moment’s worth of attention to her—even Shinsou didn’t seem to have time for her anymore! And it wasn’t fair. Himei was there first. Himei was supposed to be the baby.
When their daughter runs away, Shouta loses his shit.
