Thank you for writing this for me. Lovely glimpse of a possible future for them. I really like the way that Maurice is still being mysterious and Bridget making up stories. The details of wartime life come across vividly in this.

    1. You're more than welcome - a pleasure. I truly can't imagine Maurice being other than mysterious, or Bridget giving up stories - I'm pretty sure she's going to grow up to be a writer! But I did want to bring them into a slightly older place, here (I'm really not good at writing children, I'm sorry!) and convey something perhaps a little darker than the original books. Only a little, though!

      - thank you very much for the comment. Appreciated.

ooh - I hadn't thought of it, but Bridget as a writer when grown up makes a lot of sense. I can imagine her writing fictionalised accounts of their adventures, and the others reading them and pointing out where she has got things 'wrong'.

No need to apologise! It is lovely to see them older and dealing with the war (and not too dark :D).

(I think I've guessed who you are - the perils of such tiny fandoms, but it will be interesting to see if I'm right when reveals happen)
