Jerkass question: Since Liam is the last Irregular from THAT Flatland, does it make him some kind of specimen?
It depends on the version of Flatland you're in. In this case, our dear Liam has found himself in the 'modern' Flatland of Ian Stewart's 'Flatterland' novel, which is set in a 60s inspired era (though with modern aspects such as a version of the internet!). Which is to say, of course, Liam is more of a curiosity because he's come from a Victorian-era Flatland, rather than the fact that he's irregular. Note that our gracious host Nick is slightly irregular himself. Thanks for the question though! I love questions that make me think!
