Comment on Miss You

  1. Nothing wrong with reading this series out of order; they were pretty much all meant to be able to be read as stand-alones. (So far, I have yet to write something in this series that requires reading an older entry.)

But yeah, I wrote this because I wanted to provide a possible explanation for the question "How would Papyton become a thing in-universe?" Given that Papyrus and Mettaton's respective best friends are canonically a couple in the True Pacifist route, and barring that, they both know Frisk, I don't see it as too much of a stretch for them to be able to meet each other.

    1. Yeah, and they are in the same room at the end of the true pacifist run. baring all of that the power of ships will bring them together because magic. :D

      1. I've noticed that Mettaton's appearance in the True Pacifist ending is kinda weird. He shows up and sticks one leg into the screen just to tell Alphys and Undyne to smooch already, and then... there's not really any indication that he's still there (unless you want to interpret him as attacking on Alphys' behalf; even then, given that he's Mettaton, I somehow doubt he'd be silent if that were the case). He's not a lost soul, he's not in the crowd of monsters who come to cheer you on, and the next time you see him, it's either in Waterfall if you backtrack, or in a credits scene if you don't.

Shipping magic is an awesome form of magic :D

        1. Yeah, his work there was done, though I do wish you could save him, it would be cool, then again there's only the 6 spaces for names in the thing so it makes sense. I did the back track, but it was to thank the first Froggit for teaching me how to spare.
It is more powerful than gravity or fire magic!
