Hi. Thank you for this post, explaination and advise. I've contacted my MEP, I've tweeted, I've spammed my friends and co-workers during the last week, and I've mostly found out that no one cares (vast majority) or that one thinks it will help. Parliament will be voting this week, but as our MEP seems to be very much in favor of art. 13, I have no hope. I often lobby for work with the European Commission and Parliament and it seldom (more like never) has any effect. So I really have no hope. I understand that it's unknown yet what the practice of the article may be, but am I right that in worst case scenario Europeans won't be able to acces AO3 anymore? What can be done in that case that we can still enjoy this site and all this wonderful work? AO3 has become my favorite site, I cannot imagine not being able to acces it anymore, it makes me want to go in full panic attack mode.
Opera browser has an unlimited free VPN for its computer browser with an option to set oneself in the Americas! Doesn’t work for Netflix but I have found it does work for pretty much all other websites including YouTube
Thank you SO much for this great tip! I'm switching to Opera right this minute. I hope art. 13 won't be affecting Opera to stay open. Thank you very very very much!!!! <3
Internet broswers are exempt, so you are good! Only thing is they got rid of their free VPN on their mobile app due to issues with the group they teamed with to create it, so it is computer only for it at the moment
