8 Works in Best of My Hero Academia

At a young age, Izuku Midoriya gave up his dream to become a hero. He didn't have a quirk. He was not special. He longed to be remembered. He wanted to be known. He wanted people to see him, and what he did, and smile.
It was only at age 15 did he realize that seeing them suffer may be even more enjoyable, and that the quirk he had never known was a beautifully horrible one indeed. It was time to create art, and time to change the world forever.
(A.K.A The words of a mother break a child, and from the pieces, something else is made. Tags will be updated as the story progresses.)

Izuku—a boy who wanted to end his life after getting his dream crushed by his idol.
Tobita (Gentle)—a teenager who lost all faith in life after losing his last hope of becoming a hero.
Their lives were forever changed after that fateful encounter.
One would rise to be the villain praised by the society, while the other would fall to the gutters, kicked aside like yesterday's trash.
My first BNHA fic! Hope you enjoy!!

You stole it, you stole it, give it back!` tears were streaming down the blonds cheeks.
No, that couldn’t be right, Kacchan was strong, he never cried.
(But he did)
Kacchan kept yelling, kept crying, but didn’t get any closer.
(He did, and you made him cry)
Izuku took a few steps back. He didn’t steal it, did he? He, he couldn’t have stolen it. Stealing was bad, and he wasn’t bad. Heroes didn’t steal. Only villains ever stole. Only villains ever hurt people and made them cry. And.. and he wasn’t a villain...
(I’m not a villain)

The greatest threat to hero society isn't those who know only darkness- it's those who were born into the light and abandon it willingly.
Once, Midoriya Izuku wanted nothing more than to be a hero, but heartbreak, time, and his idol's betrayal have changed that. Actions have consequences, and a person can only bear so much suffering and torment before they reach their breaking point. Midoriya has a new set of passions now, and a new group of friends- he's not the only U.A. student with a dark side, after all, and soon, the League won't be the only group of villains in town.
As Izuku and his fellow ex-U.A. allies carve a bloody path through hero society, it falls to All Might's chosen successor, the new Symbol of Peace, to stop him- but at the end of the day, she's just one woman, surrounded by enemies, traitors, and false friends.
All orderly systems gradually tend toward chaos. No one is immune to entropy, heroes least of all.

In the wake of All Might's rejection, Izuku goes with Sensei. The League gained a new member, and the future shifted.
As Kurogiri knows, Sensei has many quirks and many plans, embodied in those he chooses to invite into the League. As someone near the centre of the League, Kurogiri knows more about their aspects than anyone except Sensei. He knows how the ancient man covers every angle of the situation, even the ones no one else saw coming. Sensei was always prepared to play the long game.
Tomura Shigaraki was one plan. The obvious plan. The one everyone focuses on.
Izuku Midoriya was an unexpected plan, a hidden plan, one that bides its time before striking when you least expect it.
Both men have power and purpose, but only one needs to succeed. Kurogiri watches both plans unfold, from their joined beginnings, through their diversion, until they meet again, in a world they changed.

"Be careful what you wish for."
If only someone told Izuku this sooner. Maybe he could have been lucky enough to be born quirkless. Yet he knows, through each painful death, that things could have been worse.
So much worse.
Quirk: Return by Death
(AKA, my completely self-indulgent Re:Zero AU because I couldn't get it out of my head. Contains lots of pointless suffering and angst. You don't need to know anything about Re:Zero to read this.)

“I—“ Izuku hesitated, gaping wordlessly, before admitting softly. “I don’t know. I just don’t want to go home. There’s nothing for me, there.”
“So you filled this hole by playing detective— And how long is that going to last, I wonder?” Stain replied, still massaging his chin. “But you— You have potential.”
Izuku blinked at Stain’s chest, before looking up. “Excuse me?”
“What a waste would it be, to let you become a red splatter on the sidewalk.” Stain continued, almost contemplating. “No. No, kid, what you need is a new purpose. Your old one is gone? Well, time to get off your ass and find something else—“

When Izuku dies, it's with a lot less grace than he always imagined it'd be. But even when he gives up the ghost, there's still things that need to be said--and, luckily, he gets a second chance.
